If you go to pub matches you should expect dead weight sometimes, when im trying on merc I never play like rhino Im a deadweight too because I dont usually play them and so I have more trouble playing them and pub is the only place to improve with those mercs where else should we do it ? Should go train in Ranked ? Not giving a shit about the composition of the team because I need to pplay THIS merc and not another one and being a deadweight and make everyone lose rank? Is this what people should do according to you ?

If you dont want to play with deadweight asks SD to fix their Ranked mode and go play there and gtfo of pub, cause you cant expect to never have deadweight in pubs.

Dont you already have an obsidian phoenix already and a humble bundle proxy … I can go on the whole day like this for most mercs. I said never get a special card as “never get the culprit card” on Vassili since its only available this time for one merc, not as never getting any special card on the merc ever that would be stupid anyway.
This HB loadout is pure shit.

Lets be honest, NOBODY likes snipers. Its utter pain to have shit vassilies on your team. Its utter pain to have really good vassilies on your team. Its utter pain to have good vassilies on the enemy team who you cant do much agains. Its utter pain to have shite vaselines on the enemy team cause it makes you feel way too easy and often find yourself bored. The only person who likes vasilly is who plays them. Thats it, i hate them as teammates or enemies.

Other than that, they have very little utility too.

Oh come on man. We do tend to shit on Vassili and snipers in general, but that’s always with an asterisk that it’s about a typical average dead-weight players. Stretching that to ALL snipers is a gross exaggeration. I say that even though my total playtime with sniper rifles is about 1% of my 600h in DB. I wish Vassili had a Dreiss or at least a Grandeur loadout, because HBS is such a great ability.

A good sniper is a great asset to the team. Raging about facing a skilled opponent playing ANY merc is childish.

Nice logic. Can literally be applied to any Merc. Sniping isn’t even hard in this game.

Why does Vasilli get such a bad rep? Everyone always complains about how noobs suck with him. It’s not like those players would do any better with any other Merc. It’s the same players who never drop ammo, health, or revive anyone, but you never see people complain about those Mercs. Snipers are amazing to have on a team when the player can aim.

I cant help it it gets me very salty. I did play Aimee a bit since the Rev update so im getting accustomed to the feeling a little bit. Still its incredibly frustrating for me. I do admit that someone who can pick the heads all the time is ridiculously skilled, no doubt. Just the salt.

The thing is, we’re not vouching for Phoenix to become the culprit, we’re vouching for him to make it into the final round, where he definitely won’t be more popular over other mercs that we’d actually play outside this event.

If Vassili makes it into the final round, it 1.) It’s going to cause another week where half of th epub games are full of deadweight, and 2.) He actually has a chance of winning, and not only do we expect a shitty loadout for him, he’s also not an allround merc that many people like to play, leaving the skin to be less useful.

I’d very much prefer a Proxy/Fletcher Obsidian than a Vassili one, therefore, he must be eliminated from contending. Especially since a lot of noobs put him on the squad ‘just in case’.

Why are you comaring Rhino to Vasilli?they play very differently.

I’f you’re bad with Rhino/or any assault merc (and how could you be bad with spray&pray weapons i’f you’re good with point&click snipers?)you still can be a meatshield for stations/choke points. I’f you’re a support and you’re bad at killing stuff,you can still do support. (medics,ammo givers,engies,etc…),Recons have nothing like that, (except for Redeye’s smoke and sometimes Aimee’s snitch device) you need to have a fast & deadly accuracy in order to be relevant in a team. And you get it once you’re comfortable with headshots and burst fire/Semi auto weapons. And this takes a moderate to a long time in a fast paced game with bullets without physics.

Besides,i never said you shoudn’t play this merc because you’re beginning with it,i wanted to say that most of pepole who play Vasilli never even bother switching to anything else more useful in some critical situations because most pepole who play Vasilli in pub matches are newbs and/or cykakids or manchilds that insult you i’f you even imply it. This is the major reason of why Vasilli has a sh*t reputation. I never bothered to say that because that would have made me sound salty and unconstructive.

The only reason why i said it would be disastrous to have vasilli as the culprit would be because it would only please long time players and no one else (like you).

apparently it would please around 30% of the player of this week. I took rhino just because he is completely different the point is. You can be a deadweight with anymerc. Any of them.
It’s absolutely ridiculous to say stuf like Vassili is the only one bringing deadweight. He is just more difficult to play and its not really explained anywhere so new players takes him thinking they will be the man of the match and end up failing but they sure wont get better if they dont try. I’m pretty sure most of the player were deadweights with some merc at some point. You’re saying the apparent 30% of people who prefers him over phoenix should just give up just for the apparently lesser number of people who dont like him to be pleased. Sorry but no. If I can get a Vassili instead of a proxy it will be a real win for me im sick of this mine monkey shit ive already got two shotgun rev loadout ill never use on this shit of a merc I dont want two more just for you not to have a Vassili.
