Just as long as it doesn’t interrupt the VIPers weekly back rubs.
i need to be in tip top shape.
Upcoming/Updated/Possible Patch Notes
How can you have so sure in that? They are too much different from what comunity asked?
Personally I would prefer a more aggressive tactic. I’d suggest sketching out a milestone format for us on the forums that would best benefit you lads.
Sticky it and list the following;
[ul]
[li]Current things that are up for active discussion/development/testing/tweaking
[/li][li]What will be next in the pipeline for discussion/testing once the current milestone of things have been dealt with
[/li][li]what has already been addressed but is open to further tweaking
[/li][li]what has already been addressed and has theoretically been locked into finality, whether in theory/design or actual code/infrastructure
[/li][/ul]
Bugs and things aside, certain nuances during the development cycle are going to be lost on both the newcomers and those of us that have patches of high/low activity (like myself).
In updating this list, it wouldn’t hurt to have patch specific developments as well, things that require some primary or critical attention in testing or discussion (if necessary)… things that some of us will be unaware of, at least immediately, if we haven’t been involved in the last (one or few) populated sessions.
I don’t think this requires more moderator involvement, it’s like a psychological patch for the game and the people involved with it… :stroggbanana:
Have you guys seen Planetside 2’s roadmap?

I do agree I wish I knew what was being discussed and what is impossible on the things people are talking about in the forums. Also I REALLY wish more people were on (NA side)
Hey folks,
What I can tell you is that there are a good number of the dev team that are reading these forums and debating the feedback you provide on a regular basis, and it is proving to be very useful.
Debates are good, we like to stir the pot a bit.
No complaints here…Curiosity on this end. Love to just “know” what’s going on.
Thanks for the replay Anti
I’m all about giving a better reason than “just cause ET did it”, though usually I’m more like “ET did that better, now let’s improve on it”
. Either way it’s all about making a high quality game and I always like new features (as long as they are done right)!
Agree with you on this. My main games were RTCW and Halo 1 PC, there are many in game mechanics from these two (game play, damage, classes, map design, team play) I can have the opinion that they were great, but the fact of the matter is like you stated - this game is a DirtyBomb.
DirtyBomb is not RTCW, ET, W:ET, Quakewars, etc… There are aspects from these games that can be borrowed, but DirtyBomb should feel like a new game with amazing 2013 mechanics that have built of off tried and true gameplay mechanics and then build them to the next level.
To sum it up, there are a lot of great aspects from multiple games of the past that can be built upon, but DirtyBomb should “feel like” DirtyBomb and be the next great game that other developers try to compete with and borrow from.
