Up the % to get a better loadout from the RNG cardgame

(BloodyGustav) #21
I’ve made myself a simple probability tool to calculate chances of having at least one expected loadout out of N crate opening/trade up.

If you’re looking for a single specific loadout out of trade-ups, after 54 trade-ups, the chances of having it is around 99,8%. That’s not rigged, you’re just the bloody unluckiest man of the game right now, because 0,2% is still possible. Considering there’s around 5000 regular players on db, this had to happen to somebody.
A 0,2% chance that this does happen and you tell me it isn’t rigged?

Now tell me what the chances are that you hit only 1 time a 1 out of 3 chance with 54 roles, i’m waiting…

Can we get a mod to close this thread, this isn’t going anywhere and it’s hardly a discussion.

It goes somewhere, but not in the direction that Nexon would like to hear about…

It’s not a discussion when you keep making claims that it’s rigged, just because you didn’t get the loadout card you wanted.

I did a single tradeup and got this :o

RNG is a cruel, cruel mistress

In a free-to-play game, discussion on the business model is always important - not only to the player-base, but the devs/publisher too! It seems lots of people feel pretty burned by the amount of RNG involved with the cosmetics, while others simply refuse to purchase because of this…

So long as it doesn’t turn into a flame-war, or become completely derailed, it’s alright to remain open ^.^

However to clarify, @BloodyGustav the system certainly isn’t “rigged”, as you describe. You have exactly the odds of getting a drop as it says on the cases. Whether you do or not are completely RNG related - RNG is RNG, and it sucks. I know :frowning: But it’s not rigged or fixed in any way.

You just don’t get it it’s not even that, i got 1 M4 loadout out of 54 the rest was Stark or that Ak ripoff… the chance is like 0,001% that this happens.

This has nothing to do with my bad “RNG luck” this is impossible, it’s rigged plain and simple!

NO! No matter how low the chance, if it’s above 0%, it can (and will most likely) happen to someone, even a 0.0000000000000000000000001% chance is possible, it’s not very likely, but it’s POSSIBLE.

There is a 0,00001% chance that Santa is real, do you believe in him?

(Faraleth) #30

Alright, now’s the time to lock it. I tried to explain rationally. Let’s keep threads on topic and open for discussion in future, rather than shrugging off every point anyone tries to dispute your claim with.

When I was trading up for just bronzes as Stoker came out I got 8 out of his 9 cards. Then got the ninth card trading up the ones I didn’t want in Silver and then repeated again in Gold. The same thing pretty much happened when Phantom came out. When Redeye came out I got the exact cards I wanted during the first four trade-ups. However, when Sparks came out I had over 200 cases and did every trade-up possible to get a bronze, silver or gold 383 card and I never got it. I then had to spend 17.5k credits on top of the ones I spent on trade-ups to buy 383.

I absolutely hate not getting what I want when I spend either money (mine) or something like game credits. I do not gamble and I dislike the gambling system in this game for exactly this type of reason. You end up feeling like you were taken advantage of even if you weren’t.
