Tuesday Night Super Draft v8 (25/06/13)
That was a pretty epic last match guys! Potty, please don’t put these matches on hold :eek:
Btw, the stopwatch mode is very strange at this stage. I hope they change it back the way it was.
After potty left we had a super close game and only won due to a plant of 27% on one of the containers on Waterloo even though they were faster than us at the two previous objectives.
Fun times were had by all.
I think it’s the same as it was, except now map ends if second attacking team gets further than first attacking team rather than needlessly playing the rest of the map, makes perfect sense to me at least.
Agreed, these match are the best way to test the strategies and velocity of the games, I really like them and now we are getting to know each other, the fun is really there
Of course, but in competitive matches you want to play throughout the whole map or time to see how much your team is exactly faster or slower.
At least don’t count the timer percentage on destroyable objectives. I hope we can all agree that wasn’t fair :o
Actually I don’t agree it was unfair, regardless of which team I was actually on today.
If it was the fastest time to complete the hack (second objective) I wouldn’t approve.
I’d be happy with either of the following:
- Highest percentage of C4 on time running out (as it currently is)
- Total number of successful plants (ignoring defuses and percentages)
The second option would require additional HUD clutter and more complex in-game logic, along with maps randomly ending when the second attacking team gets more successful plants, but still neither has blown, which would just be even more confusing for everyone. So in summary I actually think how it is right now is the best solution.
How would you like to see it work?

Here are my thoughts on some spec. functions for those who watch/cast (probably already mentioned):
- F1 ~ F12 jump to player view; need a list on the left/right side of the HUD with player names and the key associated to them;
- Map - a little bigger showing the cone of view of the players. Pressing/holding ALt or Ctrl will make the map to get even bigger like half the screen, and also allowing you to clickjump to selected parts of the map;
- 1 ~ 0 predefined or defined by user locations on a map to instantly jump too; chock points, obj, etc.
- the roof of the buildings striped or made invisible by pressing a key;
- team color highlighted on the players/deployables.
- press key to see players thru walls;
- press R/T/Y record 5 /10/15 sec, F/G/H loop what you recorded with R/T/Y for highlights or replays;
- free cam near a player, press V, jump to nearest player-view in your FOV;
- pres X, show death ghosts of the players killed in your FOV;

I didn’t want to interfere with the team tactics :D. Also i need to find a mic and learn to say more than: Yes, No, Right, Maybe, Dead, Roger, Heal Me! 
These matches were a lot of fun, I especially liked the intensity on that last map.

As far as the tie goes, I think it should be like it was today where if one team still has a bomb down on the last objective and the other team did not then they get the win. But if both teams run out of time on the same objective with no bombs down or objectives delivered then it should go to whoever finished the previous objective quicker.

Yeah was megafun yesterday! 
Even tho we had to wait for Potty all ze time 
I actually didn’t realise it when playing (missed this particular info) that Vassili was buffed - couldn’t understand why now suddenly so much fun to snipe lol
But dat Waterloo balcony. Huge massacres, often whole team vs whole other team ther (well mostly 4x4)! Was really a lot of action - seemed like a critical point to hold this balcony even after the hack.
