Tips for phantom?

Are you only saying that because you have a cobalt card for him

No. I genuinely think its his best card. I don’t have a cobalt BL94 either, not sure what made you think that… I just don’t see chopper as being all that useful, especially since Vassili got +10 HP. The only additional merc phantom can 1 shot with chopper is Phoenix. This is simply my opinion though. Most people would say the C94 is the superior loadout since it has the KEK-10 and the Blishlok is seen as one of the worst guns in the game. That’s a perfectly valid argument. However, I’ve tried both loadouts and have had more success with the BL94, but that’s just me. That particular loadout probably just suits my play style better, whereas his other loadouts might suit you better depending on your play style.

I’d love the C94 with Blishlok instead of the kek…
I only have one real advice, don’t use the heavy melee attack on anything but wounded mercs looking away. The time before you can hit again is way too long, faster to just swing regularly.

How to not really be the best Phantom out there.

  • Run around with your katana, screw guns!
  • Hit enemies once, run away, repeat. Troll dem as much as possible.
  • If playing Execution, run around the pylon as they’re trying to arm/ disarm C4.
  • Cloaked t-bagging!
  • Enemy playing Redeye? Disconnect.
  • Don’t finish off enemies, wait for medic to try rez them >:]
    — If they have Sparks… disconnect.
  • If you get concussed, cloak and hope for the best.
  • Stalking is fun~ Why to kill enemies when you can follow them around and learn what sort of stuff they’re into :]

Playing Phantom is like being in bed with a hot woman, don’t just get all aggressive, take it slow, be patient, make the right moves, trust me, you’ll know what they are.

Oh yeeeeeeeea

…what, and stop moving when they look at you? … (Be ready for the most un-sexy game of weeping angels the video game…Where you still won’t be able to do with your melee what a sniper can do halfway across the map.)

I’ve got a pretty C51 in CW that does alright in pubbing (I’d be lynched if I played him in pugs). He’s in dire need of some help, but he’s actually pretty hard to see at range while slowly moving (even walking in certain cases) and is almost easy to overlook while standing still close up. I’ve been jumped by a few good Phantom players, but I’ve spotted them and others exponentially more often. Run and gun with a shield that is semi-hard to see basically.

The katana really is just a silly little thing to mess with people in close range. The right click has an unusably long recovery time (if the enemy doesn’t die to that, you will die to them) so it’s basically just left click spam.

The Blishlok is good if you can get headshots
Every gun is good if you can get headshots. I do find killing capable players using light mercs is easier with the Blish as it does possess a good TTK for that HP pool, but all the other SMGs trump it in usability.

Also sneaking with Phantom is kinda like that kids game… not sure what it’s called in english, but basically, you sprint when the “targets” aren’t looking and instantly stop and crouch when they are and just slowly try to continoue with crouch walk.
Weeping angel simulator!
