Where’s this attitude when one of the “higher ups” like Jess Alon or DarkAngelUK makes a snarky comment about a thread being unnecessary?

My remarks of necessity have valid reasons, mostly towards the fact that the subject matter already exists and has been discussed in great detail. But please, point me towards an instance where this is not true or is not justifiable… I’m always willing to better myself as a person, and for this to happen I need to know when I make a mistake.

Look, my comment wasn’t even aimed at you, I was merely pointing out that the “higher ups” like yourself but not specifically you in this case, seem to get leniency from the moderators when it comes to useless replies to useless threads. Even the general atitude that “Oh they have lots of posts, you shouldn’t disagree with them on our forum” (again, not aimed at you) but I guess that’s the general attitude across every forum.

I will say though, I don’t quite like the “tone” there, you came across as quite patronizing.

It’s not just that they have lots of posts. But that they have contributed a lot to the community.

Me myself I keep a lot of different people in the loop and pass along new information, I try to be a positive influence in a conversation and help people see each other’s points of view and not revert into a flame war, I also call out people who are self serving and ask them to serve the community and not be self promoting.

DarkangelUK is always like a fatherly voice of reason. He does some amazing movement in gaming. Do a search on youtube for DarkangelUK for the stuff he did in the Enemy Territory games. DA is just talented.

H0RSE keeps everyone up to date on new information and hosts it all in ONE place so that it can’t be deleted or moderated or mucked with. And so you don’t have to go through a thread to get that info. And he’s a walking book of knowledge on brink.

Wraith on bethesda forums has pulled together a tight knit crew on xbox live who are going to be gaming together from day one and they all share information like one big super brain.

Musinik or whatever is always johnny on the spot posting new videos.

Harandar is always ready to point out when someone’s totally full of crap and doesn’t go cry and hide under a rock when you flame him for it.

Countless others are just good natured sources of comic relief who are a pleasure to have take part in a conversation.

Maybe you should show a little more respect for the people that can show you something. Pardon my “tone” if it offends you but we can all stand to make improvements as people.

In all honesty m8, I view the mods as fair and unbiased. I’ve had my fair share of infractions, and many times have been on the brink of being banned (no pun intended). Patronizing or not, you’re making an accusation, and accusations need evidence. I’ve certainly made many comments about unnecessary threads, but those arguing against me haven’t been infracted for their counter arguments against me, so why should I be infracted for mine?

I can see your point if I caused a storm and they got an infraction and I didn’t, but I’ve not seen one instance of this… have you?

I’ve gotten 2 since I’ve come here. The only reason I didn’t get any amongst all this recent nonsense is I wasn’t flying off the handle and cursing at people and sending them inflammatory PMs and so forth.

I’d like get this topic back on track though.

Walmart.com says my copy will be at my door between the 17th and the 19th. Yet I got my shipping e-mail and went to track it… fedex says it’ll be here on the 10th by 4:30 HOORAY. Totally made my day. Soooo damn happy to see that.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about with Amazon. I’ve never had a late shipment from them, only on time or earlier.

I’m assuming my amazon copy is in a warehouse right here in town. So I’m not too worried. It’s so exciting though isn’t it?

Yeah I’ve only just started using prime recently. But yeah I keep consistently getting my stuff on time. It’s just I always end up getting my stuff around 3pm to 6pm and upon thinking about it I wished I’d gotten a midnight release. I wonder if you can call and beg for a first thing delivery.
