This is getting rediculous. You NEED to simplify the interactions.

Allow PC players to bind different keys for revive/interact/buff. Problem solved.

I’m pretty sure asking them to shut off the catching up and/or the crazy aiming to toss a buff would cut down on the animations AND make things much smoother, it’s on them to do it though. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but every buff that you through actually has a little packet and they sometimes land on the ground. That should be standard, if it’s already there for crying out loud use it, for buffing because the system now has annoying flaws that cut into gameplay and fun.

+1 to OP

how many consoles games allow you to use ONE button to throw Health packs, and another Button to revive and another Button to “activate” or use something, say a Command Post… ?

Been awhile since i played a console game… I stopped playing console due to their ‘limitations’
when it comes to mapping or binding keys…

IMO this equates to ‘simplifying’ the game for consoles- or as i see it “Dumbing Down the Game”

console- ONE BUTTON TO RULE THEM ALL…
cough consoles cough

Anyway if they cannot get rid of the animation then my solution would be to make sure that if I target the guy in front of me by setting my centre aim on the interact circle on them, then this is the target I want when I press the F key.

Unfortunately we get this stupid “spin 180 degrees, run toward CP/Player which is several feet away instead of dropping syringe at dead guy right in front of me”.
unfortunately i think this is the case. multiplatform simply doesnt work. one platform ends up on the losing end of things. with high amounts of consoles these days, this usually means PC owner are getting screwed.

devs need to learn that console pads and m&k setups are just too different to have 1 system that fits all. as much as i love brink i just dont think it will ever be truly competitive as a team will win/lose based on how their random interactions happen.

another thing that i havent seen mentioned is the sizes of players. to me this is the reason why we need this lock on system. heavies will never be able to buff lights unless everyone is stood still. they just need to be able to throw a reasonable distance and get rid of this lock-on system that relies on the server, meaning there is lag even on a 30ping game
I have to admit the catch up doesn’t bother me, its the priority of the F key that annoys me and others. I am pretty much guessing that SD are never going to give PC players re-mappable keys for their different buffs, I just think that will entail too much work changing the game.

However I do think that they should remove whatever it is that decides what your F key will target next in favour of you manually targeting what you want to interact/buff.
rahdo said this isnt possible when i tweeted him. :frowning:

btw - you with my mum cep? my dad will be happy… does he get a night off?
