It must be a bug then, because for me the head shot sounds are very noticeable. Actually, I found them to be hilarious at first because they did sound exactly like a melon getting hit.

definitely a bug, cause I haven’t heard the difference at all and I have decent equipment.
The main problem with hitsounds is they are inaudible over your gun firing sound.
This is compounded by bodyshots having a shorter in length and higher in pitch hitsound than headshots.
In an ideal world I’d love to have separate volume sliders for footsteps, hitsounds, gunsounds, etc.
Dont like the headshot hitsound in 2 time like a yogurt barrel crushed, this sound is to long in time

Can’t SD just use the hitsounds from W:ET for example? They for very noticeable and not annoying to hear.
Currently they are placeholders.
And it depends if anyone has copyright on those sounds from ET.
