Game has gone back to being incredibly frustrating just due to the locking of the Texture LoDs. Performance is still subpar (90 FPS on a GTX 770 on low, i7 4770), and on 144HZ monitor I’m tearing all over the place again. Hope these changes will be reverted until performance is almost CS GO like good, or at least decent; I would like to enjoy this game again :(.

got gtx 970, one frame on, amd quadcore 4.4ghz processor, getting 100 fps at best, dropping to 40-50fps at times (chapel, bridge or trainyard, intense action) using 32/64 lod
was using this config before just fine, performance is even worse now
Yeah, got all things set up the way they should be to get good performance (except for the Texture LoD’s ). Still, I lost 100 (!!) FPS this patch
gtx970, i7-4790k. I get mostly around 350fps which i artificially limit with riva statistics tuner to 144 to match my refresh rate… this patch changed nothing
I use low graphics and never used any cheap CVARS

Pretty cool update.
Arty buff was needed, his arty’s were really weak (actually i’d increase the radius of his arty still).
Fragger nerf was needed also. I think the fact now he cant cancel nades without penalty is just enough, cause now if u see a fragger u can expect his nade will come soon, u can hide etc., its less likely he will just throw it instantly at you blowing up your face.
Aura healing station nerf - very much needed.
Dont know what is the optimization stage in the game, but compared to csgo i have significally lower fps with this one-frame-lag on (which fucks with my mind sometimes, cause i feel im in a disadvantage). Since the game is not optimized fully, u shouldnt tweak the minimum graph available, also i really like the clean - simplicistic look. (ofc we shouldnt be able to see through smokes etc.)

I have one complain tho - you really should lower the auto-turret’s hp, its just frustrating, cause u cant shoot a HEADSHOT to that thing, while its a f*ing aimbot on your body

The Aura is the fastest merc around, the only counter to her was the 1 shotting FEL-IX. Either MOA or FEL-IX kills everyone in 2 shots or 1 shot headshot now. If im not mistaken the MoA deals 1 dmg lesser than the FELIX with 1 bullet more and a higher rate of fire.
That is some serious nerf for a weapon I rarely saw on expierienced players.
Could both of you maybe post your entire spec list here as the three of us share a pretty similar CPU/GPU config (mine being the lower tier), so maybe we could find what actually is bottlenecking our FPS’s as our framerate is significantly different. I’ll go first:

Something that is missing from the notes is they increased sway for sniper rifle’s scopes when you’re moving.

The performance difference between the current minimum LOD and the previous minimum LOD is not noticeable on reasonably fast PCs. The primary performance enhancers are texturestreaming etc. off and oneframethreadlag on.
Great nerfs to that sniper rifle though. It definitely was annoying to play as a proxy or aura and be one shotted by a gun that didn’t even require it to be a skill shot. I remember trying to run through a field with one sniper on the opposite team, as I was running her missed his first shot so I thought I had a second or two before the next shot. I was wrong. He fired another one almost instantly and killed me. Before I could even tap the suicide button, he fired one at my head and finished me. At least now, this gun will require two shots or an actual skill-shot to the head.
Good Fragger gun and aura station nerf as well. I detested how Auras could just drop down a health station and instantly become one of the tankiest characters in the game.
Great nerf? The rifle is completely useless now. All it had going for it over the default one was its ability of killing Auras with one bodyshot.

Interesting, I’m still getting 70 - 110 jumpy fps with i7 3930k / GTX 970. Config doesn’t matter, ultra low and everything at max produce same exact performance.
Thing is, neither CPU nor GPU usage ever goes >30% so somehow its not even utilizing my hardware properly, and this is the only game I’ve had to endure crappy performance with.
