Don’t know yet. Waterpistol? :smiley: (you know, shooting people, distorting their view, i have stuff like that in mind …)

New model looks great, also sounds are a thing to expand on. There is this RocketTrail Sound and the sound when you pull trigger and sound when he comes out. Will see what that brings.

Although, i plan to make the mod not too hardcore with these things. I have some “thing” in mind, so that this does not result in total server spam annihilation over 9000 11eleven#!!! stuff :wink:

This will be a thing for the future though. So not sure how that one will turn out. Maybe it will be too much, who knows. I try to keep a certain balance in this mod though, although i think with stuff like a Kirbyfaust already 50% of players will not want to play this mod at all (crying about spam :D).

Anyway, i am quite overloaded with work, so please no Watergun at this moment. I am too full lol

Btw, i checked third person animation of Kirbyfaust. Now i know what the problem is. Anim won’t play there. Anyway to fix this? It is not a big problem though.

that anim is in the player animation, cant help you there…

Hm, you are too fast :smiley: I think you must give me time to develop my concepts. The weapon is perfect, but only time will tell if it will fit into the mod at last. Probably i take it in though (once i managed to make other things work).

But back again to Kirbyfaust: managed to finish the first voice pass on him. He now talks, and randomly, hohoho christmas face :smiley: So he will talk to you a random thing at certain events, like weapon switch, or when you shoot and he is on his way in air. I also did other stuff to him secret :smiley:

But i guess this gets boring already for most. Anyway. Here is the thing: i think Kirby needs a partner, you know, like an evil counterpart. Does anyone have suggestions for this? It should be a similar weapon.

(I imagine a stupid face like beavis or butthead, and putting his finger in his nose and stuff…)

So if I understand you right, this is gonna be the “allied” weapon and you want an evil one for axis?

how about the meta knight? I am not sure about this , because I never saw kirby in game or anything :smiley:

Btw: not wanting to make two different versions (one for allies, one for axis) with the faust. I am thinking about an entirely different weapon. It will shoot different, have different animation, will look different. Some other weapon style. like for example k43 with nade, but i don’t know yet how to do entirely. Maybe a thumper-like weapon. Just brainstorming so far.

How about kirbys for allies, and angry birds for axis… like durr… ima huge fan of silly mods, and i’m not saying your mod is silly, but I have made more than enough silly mods, from the flower mines to chicken grenades… make it happen… silly or fun mods are always welcome… and yes… you can do 1st person animated models… and once again… shame on you activision, for not releasing the toolz to make this community thrive…

I have been into the same thought as you Rayban, But I dont think it is this rayban means… let him develop I think we will see some hillarious things here and yep I wanna play it when its done :slight_smile:

to the next topic you bring up, yes it is possible to do 1st person animated models IF you know how those tags connects… never got it working with those tags… I have made a whole mod with only one of the tags into the weapon… and its the tag_flash…
what I discovered when I fiddled with all this from the beginning was that origin in the 3d prog actually is the players place and you place the weapons from there… you can also use the existings model to scale and put it in the right spot.
Only thing is that when Milkshape (as I use)import an md3 it comes in the wrong direction and you will have to rotate it to be pointing downwards in the “top” window. remember to tick the origin…better with a pic:

Interesting stuff. Tags! You might not have got it to work because some tags are actually hardcoded as far as i see. For example if you used the modModels stuff in the weapon files. Some stuff there is hardcoded, so you can only replace the hole modmodel.

I stumbled across this in the code today. And possible a bug also, because i noticed something, so i better ask :smiley: Do you know that m1_garand has big fat silencers attached to them? Looks totally badass, and the game somehow draws them in first person only, but only for third person model :smiley: And in third person nothing at all … i think it is a bug + a feature never finished. Do you guys know anything about this? The tag also does not seem to connect, i connected it to tag_flash from program code. How can i know if Garand has more tags, i know of at least one other, but are there more?

And for mod: there will be something way more standard than this. Then i will look and see and probably do yet another mod, maybe in colaboration with thunder or something, if he has super awesome ideas for crazy weapons :smiley:

First one connected to tag_flash and second to tag_scope (or tag_scope2, can’t remember). Obviously it doesn’t fit. Do you know if garand has more tags? Tried scope tag_scope2, 3 etc, no work.

Seems like this was either work in progress and got stopped, or it should have been a different weapon entirely :smiley: Anyone with more infos to what this stuff is about? It is not in the normal game, only in first person you can see this on the third person model, which doesn’t make any sense …

Ok, well, i will let it rest for a while, because i am too lazy to download install stuff for misfit on my linux. This is the idiotic part about linux, it is just so inconvenient, stuff almost never works right off the bat, you always have to do some stupid pseudo nerd **** to get it going. I mean don’t get me wrong, i love linux, but it sucks majorly on some parts …

Anyway, here other pic with both models attached.


If the silencer could fit a little better it would look just great. Maybe something for a future mod …
