Only Red-Eye is really underpowered imo. Now there are mercs who still need changes, that doesn’t make them under powered but the survey’s issue is that it doesn’t allow much flexibility in the replies.
Why did people then replied that Arty, Kira and Phantom are underpowered when they’re not?
Arty needs a indoor ability use, just like skyhammer has. The same goes for Kira, that is almost useless in Underground or the second half of Terminal. I’d also like to see a shorter start-up time of Kira’s ability. The current time makes you a sitting duck until the laser is started. Now, when it’s on it’s really awesome, I just did a hexa-kill with it yesterday on a 6vs6 on Trainyard. So, yeah, not underpowered, but requiring changes.
Regarding Phantom, I believe he’s not underpowered either, but it is my opinion that his shield must go and his invisibility should be increased. Or the opposite, keep the shield and make him visible. Either or. Right now, there is no reward for spotting him while invisible as he’ll soak up that damage. Either way, he’s not underpowered, maybe he’s even tipping now to the OP side, albeit very slightly, but still he needs changes.

Would have been good to have a “Which merc do you think is OP” question as well in parallel to the underpowered one… For the record I would have chosen, Rhino, Nader and Skyhammer on that one.
Now seriously, how is Rhino not overpowered? Infinite ammo, the highest health pool of all, incredible DPS close range and decent mid range tools.
Now he either has huge DPS or he is a damage soaker, but both is really too much. And for all of those saying that he is slow, it’s not that significantly more slow. Long jump + wall jump combo keeps you moving fast and anyone who has the DB fast moving techniques down can be very mobile with Rhino. It’s not the limitation people think it is.

I think he’s perfectly balanced. Yes, he can lock down a chokepoint very effectively, but he can’t really do that much else, other than locking down chokepoints Fragger is better in almost any way.
Same with kira, its not a brainless as skyhammer is, you have to aim artillery.

Arty and Phantom are only slightly underpowered. Arty’s ability becomes nerfed in certain situations (indoor) without something as good as Kira’s ammo station to compensate and Phantom lacks utility. It’s not so bad you can’t live with it but both makes them nonviable for comp play (well, that’s not true, I’m sure as long as it’s not Underground Arty is very viable for comp, but if it’s underground might as well switch to Kira or Skyhammer, or better yet, Stoker when he’s added “SOON™”).

By the way, another survey about players expectancies/priorities could be interesting.
Don’t get me wrong, I perfectly know that they can work on multiple subjects at the same time, but, I feel like some updates are just here because the discussed threads are the balance/trade-ups/shop ones. And major content or game directions (a final decision on rental servers, the slow work on maps, game mechanics still not working as intended) seem hindered by them. And from my point of view, although they’re less discussed, those are way more important topics for the future of dirty bomb.
People are mostly talking about things and new additions they’re facing currently, and not the biggest concerns that can make the game truly better and enjoyable.
Currently the “trade-in” system requires 3-for-1 in terms of card cost, on top of credit fee.
So 3 for 1 with same fee but being able to choose what card you want is out of discussion? Oh welll…
Oh well… just for shit and giggles

However, I feel like 2 for 1 should be just for Gold and Cobalt and the cost reduction (just a small one due using just 2 cards) just for Cobalt.

Quite a bit cheaper since at least to me, high chances of getting a silver card ain’t anywhere near that valuable but I feel a lot cheaper option would be a little bit too cheap considering the price of 10 cases.

@Lumi rhino his standard guns are useless cause of his lack of speed so he can’t close distance fast enough, when firing the minigun he’s just a sitting duck he can only crouch and walkd nothing more.
Rhino is one of the easiest targets in the game.

You’re obviously using Rhino wrong… The pistol is still an awesome long range weapon, although I concede that you need aim for that. And standing still with Rhino is just idiotic, actually it’s idiotic with any merc.
Rhino is an easy class for any newcomer. It’s easy to get kills. Now put it in the hands of an experienced player and the other team will wish that Rhino wouldn’t exist. With long jump and wall jumps, Rhino is just as mobile as any other merc. For long range one has both the minigun which with crouching and shot pumping is deadly as well as the pistol. And close range, both the minigun and the shotgun rock.
It is overpowered and the fact that many people use him wrongly doesn’t make him less OP.
