So another class which can instantly drop something on the ground? Imagine TF2 engineer dropping a fully build turret right in the middle of a room, and don’t have to worry about it anymore…
do not forget it takes like 1-2s for the Turret to be built up, and then it takes another 1-2s so it is fully functional and is able to shoot, too.

Fletcher’s sticky-bombs won’t be that much of a problem, I think. As you can see, they nearly never insta-gib people, so there damage should be quite lower than Fragger’s Nades or Proxy’s proxy-mines, for example. And his healthpool isn’t the biggest either, so bringing him down shouldn’t be that much of a problem.

Also, that’s the only ability he has, as far as I am aware of (He has only shotguns as primary weapons, some small SMGs and pistols as secondaries and the stickybombs)

How recent is that video anyway?
Was pleased to see Phoenix in there too.
I don’t know. The vid was released on 26.01, so “fairly” recent, I guess^^

no one has called sawbones OP.

In fact the whole traditional medic class got the treatment as that was the big gripe from some of the older games like ET that the “medic was too op”.

So now we have a sawbones had been so rebalanced to get the character we have today who gets outclassed in combat by a pure medic. Even tho sawbones was meant to be the “combat medic” lolz

Trust me you want to stay on this forum.

These forums are awesome. I also recommend checking out the Splash Damage forums, a lot of DB players who are fans of SD’s other games hang out over there too.

Still some people are complaining that reviving is OP, so I grouped Sawbonez in with that.

I think Sawbonez is fine personally, I see him picked frequently by top fraggers and probably not just for the luls. He’s my favourite merc as well, and so far I don’t feel that he’s lacking. Maybe he has no strandout-strengths, but also no standout-weaknesses.

lol, and if Nader replaces Proxy in the next rotation everyone will complain she’s OP

(Amerika) #27

I don’t think that many will complain that she’s OP. Just that she’s a spammy class who can allow a person to get super cheap and random kills. I don’t want this game to be played as if you’re walking in the middle of a mine field even though it looks like it might head that way. The explosives should, in my opinion, always be a utility and not a main form of getting kills.

(Nail) #28

sorry, my point is that until we have all the mercs available, one merc will always be OP to some people

The last thing I want this game to be is a TF2 knockoff where all kills feel cheap - like in TF2.
