BF gunplay sucks for way more reasons outside of its ADS.

ADS is fine in this game. I haven’t seen one compelling argument to remove it entirely. The only thing I’ve seen that seems good to me is having some weapons without ADS as a specialty weapon, like the minigun and sparks weapon.

Imagine if titanfall didn’t have ADS. I think a lot of a certain type of gamer would be automatically put off by that. That is not saying it wouldn’t attract some segments of gamers, but far less.

nobody would ever get fragged if that were the case. the hipfire spread in that game is insane

i remember, how ADS was a nice option in ETQW. it felt like a zoom for very far distances, where you could barely see enemy. the game didnt dictate me when to use it. it felt natural: enemy-model is small, so i use zoom and shoot him!
in EX i have to use iron-sight at much less distances.
I realy hope that spread reduction will fix this.

Much like CoD’s Hardcore mode, in Extraction I’d like to see a Retro mode that does away with ADS and uses crouch as the accuracy modifier, with all the other stuff thrown in like class specific objectives etc. I think we’d need a larger userbase first though or we’ll see a great divide of oldies in retro and newbies in standard.

CoD’s HC mode just makes weapons super lethal… and some UI/Hud elements are removed. Not really something you’d want here. I know you mean to say you just want a retro mode but CoD HC is not a retro mode.

The point is that there is an alternative mode to choose from but the core mechanics of the game stay the same more or less, you’re splitting hairs here for no reason and everyone (including you) knew exactly what I meant. It’s a mode aimed at the veteran ‘hardcore’ crowd that does away with modern creature comforts, sheesh I didn’t say copy/paste CoD’s hardcore mode.

Did you even read my post? I was just pointing out that COD HC mode is not retro in the COD series thus it was a poor example you put forth.

I mean, damn… it is 3 sentences long and you can’t take the time to read that fully.
