why no one uses the entitity list? i had the same error once. after searching i decided to check the entity list and there were two entities that i hadnt put in the map. deleted them both. it worked

Open entitylist with L, press all entities with plusses (press the +), if It doesn’t show up any brushes, it is the reason for this problem. Assuming you use 1.5.0 it happens when you delete the last brush of the entity from 3d or 2d. Basicly it’s an entity which should have brush(es), but it doesn’t brushes.
I’ve writed this dozen times, and millions of similar postes could have been found with search. (error sv_setbrushmodels NULL). Don’t know if this happens with 1.4.0 since I don’t use it.
edit. And DON’T delete all your origins, only those which haven’t been used. Delete if they are in worldspawn, or an entity has two brushes with texture origin (remove the other). If you delete all you will find a lot of stuff not working properly, script_movers etc.
lol, having almost never used the 1.5 i forgot that it doesnt delete the entity when all the brushes of it are gone, a big reason why not to use 1.5
when I open it and I look at the brushes etc. I see sometimes: node
is that the fault?
I also see sometimes patch standing
and somtimes I see func_explosive without a brush
Patch is fine, if there is a node, it’s model, but if it doesn’t have anything coming up when you press + then there is a problem. Func_expl. w/o brush will cause this too. Delete these empty ones. NOTE everyone that hasn’t the +, isn’t supposed to have any pacthes/nodes/brushes.
