Yup, just tested it with the console right now. 25 per sec. Pretty lethal.

From what i know the cooldown was 40secs i balive so there wont be a lot of spam unless its a 8v8 pub as Szakalot. And i’ve been playing with the timik recently just to test the weapon out and it just feels so nice to get a kill with it and it’s recoil is bigger than on other guns but still controlable. Not a fan of sky he just doesn’t fit me but to be honest when he gets released skyhammers just gonna get kicked out of my squad. I dunno about u but im just hyped for him and i hope he’s the next merc.

Maybe smoke grenades will cancel out fire. Fire needs oxygen to burn, so a smoke grenade could remove the oxygen from the area to put it out. This would add a nice use for smoke grenades other than blinding teammates.

#TheScreamingHedgeHog Well to be honest the 1st thing that went trough my mind for countering the Molotov was the Smokes and the 2nd thing was explosives and a lot of people were thinking of explosives. And it does make sense as the blast wave from the explosion is powerful enough to put out the fire and fire fighters have used POWERFUL explosives like c4 to put out fires but i just tought it would be a bit cheeky, but we don’t know how everythin will turn out when they release him.

1 thing’s for sure tho he’ll get nerfes from the whining noobs who can’t play the game. Some eg. of nerfs from the same noobs: The reduced dmg for the heavy swing on the katana. The window in which u could dmg some1 with the katana was reduced and the turn limit came in play so that reduction wasn’t needed.

I don’t think he’ll be nerfed just because of a molotov that does 25dmg/sec.

Just imagine if fragger was released now, instant gibbing 150 damage grenades, now THAT would cause some whine.

I’m looking forward to him…I want a good fire support character, I don’t like Kira and Arty much but Skyhammer is okay…though I’d much rather burn stuff!

I wanted to research how many fire supports, uhb-jek-tiv specialists, recond, assaults and medics there are in the game. And if i’m right there’s 3 of every type and the last fire support merc we’ve had was Kira and she got released 2 months ago. And the other type of merc that we haven’t had in a long time was a objective specialist and we haven’t had 1 in 3 months. But i think that the next merc we’ll get is Stoke because from all the thrends i’ve see people went insane about Stoker and from what i’ve seen SD do care about what the community want.

Who do you guys think the next merc will be?

I want the weapons from Skyhammer, ammostation from Kira, ability that’s usable indoors AND a merc that isn’t slow as Fragger… Stoker is perfect :smiley:

I’m not sure how he plays out and all since I wasn’t here for closed beta plus he seems pretty useful but don’t you guys think he seems a bit underwhelming? Like he’s a pyro character with nothing but molotovs even though I don’t know any other fire weapons being applicable to the game, as well as the fact that all the other fire support mercs have these like, huge abilities, and he just has fire. I’m not sure if I phrased this right l o l

Fire can be used indoors. thats a BIG difference. It covers a large area for a long time, it can stop a push, prevent a plant, prevent defuse, still damage EV. Seriously, the molotov is one of the most versatile abilities in the game.

Just wanna add on the Molotov can clear out choke points better than other abilities and prevent the enemy team from grouping at that place.

But i totally agree with you the Molotov is awesome.
