Some where in June.
Since when have You been playing Dirty Bomb?
My game backlog was big enough already in June 2015 (damn you Steam sales). And then I started playing Dirty Bomb…
It was in June of 2015 for me, I had tried it out then as a friend from Ohio (inside joke) had suggested it but it was not really appealing to me. Around the time the containment war update came, I decided to try it again, and wow, it brought me back to my days of Unreal Tournament 99 and Tactical Ops. I missed fast pace games such as this, as mostly today it’s nothing but military shooters and valve time shares simulators. First character I bought was Phantom, and he was my main, Proxy was on free rotation and I really enjoyed her gameplay. Then Redeye was free, I found him horrible at first, no redeeming qualities, and I generally never sniper in any game and hate the awp in CSGO/Wall Street Simulator. Lo and behold, I tried him again, and his IR goggles felt very familiar to me, as I tended to use NV goggles in Tactical Ops in broad daylight, as well as in AVA, much to the chagrin of my teammates B), due to my color blindness. I decided to search if there were any colorblind options, and came across Farlath’s (sp?) guide, and was happy to know a moderator was also colorblind and understood what we deal with. Ever since changing the reds to yellow, or technically amber, he became my main…with over 5000+ Grandeur kills and counting. Redeye, Proxy, and sometimes Phantom is my squad now, and I love elements of the current update, especially with the 1911 or Caulden.
A Grandeur with holographic sight or reflex sorta like the Blishlock one would be awesome, one can only hope :), as long as the dot is not an invisible red.
I started around June or July of 2015, though at first it was off and on. Though I really enjoyed it after playing AVA since 2009, gameplay for it got stale for me. Dirty bomb was a 180 on gameplay and I stuck with it.
i saw this game in Muselk video but i didn’t get the key soo i started playing since open beta
First heard about the game in 2014, and if I remember correctly I think I got into the closed beta in January 2015.
Man I used to have a crappy potato computer and could only run this game at 15-20 fps on minimum, that was back in june, after november i got my new pc and things have been good at 140 fps at max
The first time I played the game was in November 2013 (I still have some screenshots from that time). I put the game aside for quite some time (I was quite busy with chivalry) and then I went back to it almost a year later.
Found this teaser trailer from the very beginning. What’s not obvious from this video, is how immensely the game has changed since.
Also, shameless bump
It was sometime before May 2014. That’s all I can remember to be honest. Didn’t play it too much back then. As soon as it came to Steam and was streamable, however… oh boy did that change.
@Runeforce My waifu Proxy died in action :’(
Holy moly, that dark tone … no wonder they changed the title to Extraction at some point.
I started playing in June once DB came to open beta and was advertised on stream. That was the first time I heard about it.
My buddy made me try it during the Phantom update. (2k15 july?) It was fun, but it wasnt all exciting until i launched the game again and saw Sparks on free rotation. Tried her, fell in love with her (metaphorically). Ever since i learned how fun the fastest mercs are, and how much I get bored with slow classes. And also how utterly i hate vassily in general.
Bought a founders pack when they first announced the game, so I got into the game somewhere in closed alpha. But since none of my friends were in and the extremely low population at the time, I didn’t get into it. Wasn’t until 2015 I started playing regularly.
Some very old footage (courtesy of Splash Damage) of Bridge.
God, the game felt, looked and sounded awfull back then!
It was like july, and i hesitated before downloading the game, but finally i founded a f2p that was great.
Somewhere in 2015, maybe in May/June when my friends told me about it. It was my first FPS game to play. Now it’s my favorite game.
