One of the most important things for sniping at least is to turn of mouse acceleration. (or put it at 2.2, if its any higher any time you move to look around, it accelerates your mouse and causes you to miss your shot/shots.) 2.2 is a safe zone, for razer settings its out of 10. I have my DPI at 1200 because in this game you need to be able to turn around really fast and people will get behind you. Its much harder to aim but you will get the hang of it.

My in game settings are
0: mouse acceleration
1200: DPI
5: in game
(If you have 7 in game and 800 dpi this is really similar. I just like having a higher DPI for when i play someone like Fragger or Proxy) Making it easier for me to switch in game rather then changing my DPI out of game.

@Herr_Hanz I was wrong. My DB sensitivity is 5.9. I use 5.5 in Overwatch. So my DB sensitivity is slightly higher than I mentioned. I’ll edit my first post.

A whole YT channel dating back a couple of years now actually! I upload full matches of the games I play and sometimes I’ll do a commentary video. It’s not very entertaining and exists mostly for my own archival purposes (keep tabs of what I’ve been doing in gaming over the years) and partly for educational purposes if people want to see certain situations or how somebody else plays (with all the good and bad) that you don’t see in edited montage videos.

mind doing a vid with mouse camera? cant wait to see those 12-13 inch snaps. thats nice for low sens, but if you make 10 cm (4 inch) wrist movements like me you need a higher sense. gonna make a mousecam vid tomorrow.

I could probably do that in the future but I currently do not have a web cam or a ton of time. I lost most everything to a fire a few weeks ago and I’m still rebuilding. But that’s a good idea for a future video to discuss the pros and cons of sensivity with actual gameplay.

I normally link this video when I tell people how I play. My sensivity is probably just a bit lower than this guys but it’s in the ballpark. I had to buy a TKL keyboard so I would stop hitting my mouse against the side of it when swiping to the left.

I like to make sure that I don’t have to rely on a few small wrist muscles to make tiny adjustments if my sensitivity is too high. I would constantly get wrist locked in fights with higher sensitivity. Now, those muscles are only used when going a very small distance. And only to correct my aim or to adjust from a shoulder shot to a headshot. It keeps me from overshooting and constantly correcting which allows me to stick to targets fairly easily. It’s definitely not for everybody though.

If it was possible to make every DB player watch one of your videos, the amount of hackusations thrown around would drop significantly.

but what camera angle/video do you guys prefer for a mousecam video?

Option 1: Full desk view.

Option 2: gameplay with mousecam in corner.

Option 3: Option 1 inside option 2. (full desk/monitor view in the corner of gameplay)

@Herr_Hanz I personally think a camera that was behind you and above a bit showing your mouse and maybe part of the screen in a window while the rest of the screen is filled with your gameplay would be good. You’d get a good angle on the mouse as it pertains to movement in game rather than some odd side angle like I’ve seen a lot of people do. Also, it would make it easy for you to sync the gameplay video to the mouse video in case they get out of sync.

shadowplay allows me to capture the webcam at the same time as the gameplay, so i have no syncing issues. thanks for answering

Was playing at 9sens/400 DPI, recently got a huge mousepad and have lowered to 8 in game, now getting rekt by everyone while I’m not used to my new settings.

I’ve always been a low sense player. My accuracy is pretty good and I tend to do well, it’s really about personal preference.
