Stoker confirmed!
@MissMurder i know you are busy with other stuff. But i came across this thread and though it deserved attention

I wonder if the Report Button or Private matches are what’s holding things up…
@Watsyurdeal From what they have said, I think it’s the private matches. The report button was ready to go, but they were considering letting the private matches slip until the next patch - but that would be another 2 weeks away. Just to clarify though, it’s just a guess judging by the information we have been given. @MissMurder hasn’t said anything specific about what it holding back the patch, other than “things aren’t ready”.

Although it’s a little bit disappointing, I can totally understand that.
Keep up the great work, I just really don’t want to see this game dying
I’m kind of afraid to buy new a merc when it comes out from now on. I will wait and see how Phoenix works out for people. I suspect self reviving is going to be hard to pull off since people already seem to make a habit of finishing me off on Aura and Sawbones.
And that healing aura seems like it might only be good for more offensive Medics, and I play in a more defensive way usually.
OMG, Phoenix looks so OP, please nerf before release!!!

I think after he is released, a health buff would be beneficial to him. I mean the overall strategy I see is that he is an aggressive medic, probably even more aggressive than Sawbonez.[/quote]
Would it be fitting to have him be the medic with the highest health?

I think so, I mean giving him up to 120HP would be on par with mercs like Skyhammer while obviously having lesser firepower, and Sawbonez is sitting on 110HP making him pretty aggressive so far, would be interesting to see a medic even more focused on front line triage(Phoenix and Sparks are considered offense medics, only fitting he would receive the highest health since his ability has potentially the shortest range).

I support this, an aggressive medic with only 100 health would make him at a disadvantage.

He doesn’t need more HP, imo. Selfrevive basicaly makes him a situational 200 HP Merc, plus a HP boost every 6-20 seconds further increases his effective HP (consider that unlike the other medics he doesn’t have to decide between healing Fragger or himself).
also doubtfull that he gets 20HP buff, even if he was too weak, maybe 10. But a 20 HP increase has I think never happend in this game before, Phoenix would have to perform worse than every single other merc to grant such a buff, and it would be in a way that his abilities are not considered the problem.
Why not wait till Phoenix is actually released till making any decisions on buffs or nerfs. By this I also mean give him a week or so before making any complaints. I don’t want people to start yelling for nerfs like Phantom again when the main problem is that people weren’t used to another merc yet and how to counter it properly. Give him sometime and have atleast a semi-educated complaint, not a ERMERGERHHHDDDD HE KEERPS KEELLIN MEH, NURFFF HEM ERT UF DER GERMMMM!!!
You’re right @steelMailbox that is almost identical to a lot of the Phantard reactions I saw. Funny though c:
