I’d say Phoenix. There is no such thing as a bad Phoenix card. You might get a card with Healing Reach instead of Potent Packs/Extra Supplies, but that’s about the worst it gets.
Safest Cobalt trade ups
Bushwhacker is pretty safe, Proxy has quite a few good cards as well. Though Stoker, Phoenix, and Aimee are probably the safest.
I personally find the P81 and the F82 to be her best cards as well, but the other ones are definitely worth considering, the edge between the Selb and the other 2 pistols is noticeable but not close to Vassili’s case, MP400 is just on a whole other level. It’s kinda like Redeye, I prefer P41 for the superior pistol combined with Quick Draw and Bomb Squad, but understandably a lot of people prefer P52 just because of Drilled which is always awesome.
I think all 3 of her Grandeur loadouts are legit. I actually struggle to pick between all 3 of them. I prefer the one with extra ammo in pub, since people rarely dish out ammo, but yeah. Aimee is a very safe bet.
Arty is pretty safe imo, I like all of his Dreiss cards, and the two cards with the Stark which I have I like, not a fan of the BR-16, but that’s still 5/9 cards I’d be happy to get, and some people do like the BR.
This is a real Signature.
I’m surprised no one mentioned rhino, I mean he has that one card that is his best one because it makes his minigun last really long, but aside from that his cards are all pretty much the same. It doesn’t matter what gun you get because you almost exclusivelly
Yes, which I don’t understand, he is fun, but still, it’s a safe trade up, no rhino card is really “bad” compared to the other ones.
He is slow. His minigun isn’t great for headshots unless as close range. If you use his primary you might as well be using his minigun because they have similar effective ranges. He is slow and can’t do many of the more complicated trick jumps. While he has high health he is a sitting duck for thinks like Fletcher, Nader, Fragger, Arty, Skyhammer, Kira, Vassili, Aimee, Redeye and Stoker.
He is a very niche merc with very few scenarios where we would be a better pick. Even on free rotation I have only seen a couple Rhinos in peoples squad and only one in use so far.
And a safe trade up is also one worth using
And you generally want one of a mercs special augments for it to be a safe trade up. Narrows it down to likely 3-4 cards. Just getting the minigun leaves you at a disadvantage to other Rhinos that do have Ice Cold or N2O. Then there is a difference of primary shotguns which can throw some people as well. Personally I only like the Ahnuld, but that is me.
He just doesn’t have the same general application other mercs have. The only map where I can see a Rhino being effective is Bridge.
Yeah, but if you do stuff right with him, he is godly. Also, I do execution, so the merc balances for all the different modes are very different, but with rhino if you camp in a small spot or flank an enemy, he is amazing. I guess in objective modes he is less useful, but if your on defense defending a point with an aura station on you, nobody is getting to that point.
Until they Molotov you, sticky you, nader you, arty you, airstrike you or frag you. Oh, or use thunder to take out the station and blind you.

Lol, yeah, well I camp indoors normally, but yeah, Molotov D: do you have any idea when they are fixing that btw, the damage box is all wonky, it does damage in a constant radius after it’s thrown but the animation shows it spreading out.
My bad you guys are right. That’s why the S&W Vassili load outs are so popular, right?
lol
umm? S and W is arguably much better than machine pistols, so… yeah.
it really depends what you like,
medic? Pheonix/Bonez
Assault? Probably Nader (although I find Thunder good becuase basically all of his cards are really good)
Firesupport? Stoker
Recon? Vasilli or Aimee both give great loadouts
again though, it really depends on what weapons and styles of play you like. these are just the ones I would go for.
Yeah I agree s&w is great for a follow up shot after hitting with a sniper shot, especially with head shots, but I guess MPs are better if your not good at close quarter sniping and need something closer to a back up primary.
And I’d suggest Stoker, as he looks so damn good, and has great cards.
