TF2’s Demoman charge ability is a total riot. It’s one of my favorite TF2 abilities, plus you can combo strike with it.

Yep, I immediately thought of Payload Race. Ton of fun. Just copy what TF2 has and it will quickly threaten Objective as the top mode. Also, KOTH, or even just regular Payload (without obj deliveries) would be good too. Only problem is the player base is too thin to support the modes we already have.

Given that stopwatch is not well received, I’d just temporarily replace stopwatch with either Payload Race or KOTH and bring back stopwatch at final release.

Would also be great to have a version of Mann vs Machine PvE mode. I guarantee that would be popular. One thing is for sure, you put fun modes into a game and they will bring and hold the players. SD should put serious thought into that prior to Final.

@spaceboy PvE would be awesome. The best thing I can think of while it being somewhat faithful to the lore would be a second wave of dirty bomb attacks carrying bioweapons that turn infected hostile and aggressive (ala The Crazies or Resident Evil). Not crazy versions of the mercs, but charging civilians and armed soldiers.

I like PvE, could be fun with all the different abilities. Would really have to put together a decent team to cover health recovery and ammo, but I think those abilities should be a lot more limited to make it survival-like.

It definitely couldn’t be defense type like Man vs Machine, as mercs like Phantom would be useless, more like Left4Dead. Move to a checkpoint and maybe set up defenses or something. Also I think the 3 merc choices would be great if you can like switch them at certain checkpoints. Objective to recover something deep behind enemies? Sneak by with Phantom and grab it. Need to set up defenses? Pick a Rhino with minigun or maybe Bushwhacker and have an extra gun on the team.

And now I’m gonna be sad, because I know it will never happen… :bawling:

I actually like that idea and any other ‘exotic’ creative stuff. Some games use the rifle butt as the melee strike, or the quick melee.
