Monitor mode reads more like a non functioning anti cheat.

The only thing (persons) that is monitoring cheats right now are the SD employees who are monitoring this topic.
So basically they are the anti cheat.

another hacker, “silverJackal” on a US West stopwatch server about 2 hours prior to this post.

Seems to be trying to hide the hacks with crummy KDR but fails really badly once you spectate him and see the hilarious 180o snaps into shooting a wall. Also when spectating him, the camera was really jittery compared to other players which were smooth, not sure if this means anything.

also, tinfoil hat time. “carefreeUppercut” … “silverJackal”… ? I’ve seen tons of other players with these camelCase, random-word-combination style names, some of which have also been questionable. basically its all a big conspiracy theory, these camelCase guys are just bots that splash damage are testing on the servers on players without us knowing gg case CLOSED

also here’s some video footage of the accused (password is “subtle”). enjoy the amusing reaction at 1:15 after I call him out and then he contemplates his life for a bit before doing some of the most hilarious paranoia-induced snapping I’ve ever seen. pretty good bot AI, well done SD :smiley:

Don’t think Arty or RedEye Players cheat, those are just the easiest mercs right now with the recent changes. Just fast Bodyspam and there you go :slight_smile: I can’t believe how pathetic some ppl are that actually got decent aim and play stuff like that. Supertrolls ? :wink:

maybe because it’s also good to try these mercs to feed ECHO not only with aimless players’ stats ? Also if they are easy mercs to use it doesn’t mean you cannot take them to the next level and play smart with their abilities. Also how can someone give feedback if you don’t test extensively the mercs ?

Those names sound exactly like the randomly generated default usernames you get when you start the Nexon launcher for the first time and don’t bother changing it (or can’t figure out how to…). I would guess those hackers simply never bothered…

So ? Cheat promotion on the official forum ? and no reaction from SD / Nexon ? Give him a ban and he will be back with another account … without a real anticheat (not like XIGNCODE3 as mentioned before …) cheater can troll you all day long without any problem. All this actively participate to the poor players retention.

Hackers also ruin communities because they breed suspicion and negative stances towards legitimate good players who get confused as the hackers.

Any news about some real anticheat ? Nothing can be done for the moment and that’s really frustrating.

Meanwhile legit players get banned by nexon. It’s painful to watch. It looks like I joined a newb server where good players get banned and cheaters don’t get noticed.

No hacker can bypass ECHO. Ultimately I believe ECHO will be the anti-cheat system by excellence because you get all the activity from each players. Now it’s not enough, that’s raw data. So how would that work ? For each player you would want to sample the data and to extract a set of features that are independent from the game but fully dependent on how the gamer in question is playing. With these features, you can train algorithms such as genetic algorithms, Support Vector Machines or Recurrent Neural Networks. By feeding them these features as input and checking their output, they will adapt and correct themselves automatically until you get a very good cheater recognition rate. Then cheat detection is not based on preventing you from using a software, it’s based on your behaviour, which is way stronger.

Then the only way not to get detected as a cheater is to not be one. Combine that with a regular XIGN Code and you get a pretty strong anti-cheat system. But why is it not already in the game ? Maybe because it takes time ? Requires a proper training ? And is extremely difficult to deal correctly with the exceptions ?

Sometimes you have to wait more to get something better.

Just get rid of XIGNCODE3, it’s clientside crap that is bypassable by hackers and infuriating for normal users, it’s the same story with DRM, making life easy for hackers and harder for the rest of us.

All anticheat should be server side or peer reviewed, problem solved.

Aimbot and killing players from a distance.

In the higher resolution video you can read in the top right corner that it’s him doing the killing.
