There is a Fix - Use Good Old Window XP
[Renderer] Nvidia OpenGL driver has lost connection with the display driver
gtx 480 / 270.61 drivers (but also occured on older driver) / crashes on any map at random intervals
Two GTX 460se’s in SLI
Windows 7 64bit
Core 2 Quad Q8400 @ 2.9 ghz
4 Gigs DDR2 memory
latest Nvidia drivers, 270.61 I believe
The crash happens on all maps within 5 minutes at 1920x1080
Lowering the resolution to 1360x768 allowed me to play for about 2 hours last night without a crash.

I have a 16:10 monitor, I have only played on 16:10 resolutions but I get this error or a hardlock in every one. And thank you for the dev response/update
2x GTX 460 SLI (MSI Cyclone, no-OC)
I7 2600k (no-oc)
8 go ram
resolution played : 2560x1600, game runs fine 60fps lock with vsync on, the crash occured after 2-3 min of play time in single player mode (4 time), and after 10min in mutliplayer.
the first 3 times the computer was completly frozen, with sound repeating. After that, I had several time the famous message about openGL ldriver who lost connexion.
All temperatures are ok, and the computer is able to perform full day long on Bad Company 2 & Crysis 2 with same resolution.
Thank you Devs to look into this issue
PS: only played 20min so far, all that I can say … I want more !

Evga Geforce GTX 465 Superclocked (http://www.evga.com/products/moreinfo.asp?pn=01G-P3-1467-AR)
Resolution: 1920x1200
You guys are lucky you’re getting up to an hour of playtime before your crash.
Within 2 minutes of starting a game up, mine crashes.
Nvidia GTX 460 SE.
Before i updated my drivers, the game would just completely crash out, no real error message.
After i updated my drivers, I got the “lost connection to the display” error.
Tried lowering the resolution from 1920 x1080 down 1 tier, and it made me be able to play for 5 minutes before it crashed…
Dual 465s in SLI, no overclocking, latest nvidia drivers.
Utterly unplayable. Oh well, was on the fence about it as is. I guess the bug stories were true.
Best of luck to anyone willing to wait around.
2x MSI GeForce GTX 470 Twin Frozr II Graphics Cards in SLI
Only tried in 1920x1080 resolution.
GTX 460 SE 1680x1050 and 1600x800?
I also run dual monitors, wonder if that has any effect on it.
GTX460 768gb FPB, windows 7 64bit, 1920 x 1080 this issue occured on all maps. Happened in single player story but never to me in coop. Challenges made it happen within minutes.
Just bought and installed a GTX560 Ti DS yesterday, and although I have yet to have the OpenGL crash since, I am still having the 30 fps while posting 60fps issue.
I was however able to play for an hour and a half last night with no OpenGL crashes in all gameplay modes. I really really love this game while playing with other people.
Im running:
Win7
NV 270 drivers
2x GTX 460 SE in sli
1680x1050
Happened to me on different maps randomly.
Running 2 GTX 480’s in SLI @ 1920x1080
I’m running dual monitors and I noticed it happens A LOT less frequently if I put the 3D settings in nvidia control panel to single display performance mode rather than mutli display performance mode.
Ran multiple drivers and the problems still persists.
GTX 460 Superclocked
Win7 pro 64
1920x1080
270.61 drivers
It was initially crashing almost instantly when starting up after the first crash. I reran the directx installer from /steam/steamapps/brink/directx and was able to play for 45 minutes ish. I’ll be playing again when i get home later hopefully that stabilized it. I had actually ran the directx installer for another reason, the game sound was defaulting to my onboard even though windows was set to my soundcard as default and the directx installer fixed that too. I’m wondering if something is getting corrupted in directx that’s causing this.

How could it be a directX issue when this is an OpenGL game
Thanks for the response SD.
GTX 460’s in SLI, Windows 7 x64, 1920x1080, haven’t tried any other resolutions.
