the recoil is quite easy to control. I dont see any point in changing. (maybe Fops new gun has slightly too much.)
Recoil
Don’t really like recoil, because for to actually matter it needs to be cranked up pretty high then it just feels real bad jerking your view everywhere plus it tends to enforce going full auto since controlling recoil with steady rate of fire is much easier than bursts etc unless its totally random.
Developers have a much easier time balancing spread than recoil. You can make spread fall back while you can’t do the same with recoil, at least not in the same way, making recoil fall back would still diverge from a new spread making the entire process highly chaotic.
And yes there should be guns that are all about recoil rather than spread, but for testing you’ll reach an ideally balanced weapon much easier if you put the weight on spread rather than recoil.
