Yes, but that cfg also holds guids, and game names. Like clan leaders. Can you say poser. I would not do this in my opinion. Why not just make all .cfgs secure and install the bug fixes. Would not this be the best action to take? Use mods, or other 3rd party programs to fix the bugs. Change the name of your shubbot.cfg. change the name of your server.cfg or any .cfg that holds sensitive info. Get that new server.cfg name changed in the command line that starts the server. Is this so difficult? They hack your lack of knowledge. Put your knowledge to use.

dont forget to rename the etconfig file. this is the file that gets auto generated 
I think that my etconfig.cfg do not have “sensitive information” and I suppose that this file is not be execute on my server (but it exist).

Clearing the rcon password will also disable it. Works fine…but can be annoying to.

The QMM bugfixes (for Enemy Territory) provides some additional bugfixes which may already be supported by the mod you run.
A more detailed readme about the bugs fixed can be found in the pluginsINSTILLATION

But when I change name file qagame.mp.i386.so to qmm_qagame.mp.i386.so in my mod NQ 1.2.3 (folder noquarter), server can’t start. On the putty program when I set ./start server do not start and under line ./start I can see the text: “screen is terminating”. Why? What I mast to do to use this fix in NQ?

Ok, I solved this problem. That is what i needed:
Linux Installation:
* Each game uses a different filename for the mod SO. Refer to this list
when asked to rename QMM in step 2.

- Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory qagame.mp.i386.so
- Jedi Knight 2 jk2mpgamei386.so
- Jedi Academy jampgamei386.so
- Return to Castle Wolfenstein (Singleplayer) qagamei386.so* Note for Quake 3 Arena and Jedi Knight 2 servers: You must set the 'vm_game' cvar to 0 before QMM will work. You can do this by adding the following to <mod>/autoexec.cfg (create it if it does not exist): seta vm_game 0
1. If a mod SO (listed above) already exists, prefix the file with “qmm_”
2. Place qmm.so into the mod directory and rename it to the correct
filename listed above
3. Place pdb.so and qmm.ini into the root game directory (where the server
binary is located)
4. Configure qmm.ini as needed (see file for more details)
Just read your PM. Glad to see you got it going. just to add to this. One of the largest GSP Gameservers. Is more than happy to install this for you. They also are more than happy to change the start up command line with the new name, you choose for your server.cfg.

Rename the server.cfg to myserver.cfg or such, then change the start up command so it it will look for myserver.cfg instead of server.cfg
I use to have this problem to but i fixed it with this little switch, alot easier then updating a whole clan or such
change the name of your server.cfg to anything obscure and then change your start up line the bit that calls the server.cfg to what ever you now call it

Install the Enhanced mod on your jaymod server and you wont have to worry about stupid rcon hacks 
My servers got hacked too, seems that NQ is protected but my jaymod’s werent’protected.
