Punkbuster wont protect you from guid spoofing. But as far as i know this problem has been fixed in actively developing mods like Nitmod or Silent, so an old way of guid spoofing is impossible.
They are not using PB guids, atleast Silent isn’t and that’s why it’s not possible.
On mods that use pb guids you can put “set cl_guid “whateverguidyouwanthere”” (prolly should be 40 chars) in autoexec.cfg and it’ll actually change it to whateverguidyouwanthere. I guess back when we actually had PB running that wasn’t possible and cheaters had to use a cvar unlocker to modify the guid. Running a mod with PB guid admin system nowadays is about as unsecure as it can be.

i think that all modifications of these bins files cgame/qgame/ui using the SDK are covered by SDK license ID has the exclusive ownership of these files (SDK’s /src folder) and no one has the right to put his own license for those files. the NQ guys have no right to claim property of their modified cgame qgame
that license is INVALID maybe they can claim property of weapons skins and all add-ons except cgame qgame and ui dll/so sources
i forget to mention that NQ guys have no right even to claim property for their mod name since its not registered
so dont ever provocate other evryone one have the right to make a multi clients NQ version if you are angry you can make a complaint for copyright infrigement and be sure it will be rejected since you dont own the mod!

cl_guid is MD5, so it should have exactly 32 characters. It’s double md5 from first 28 bytes of etkey file.

For NQ I don’t know; I heard a while ago they were waiting for a modeler or two to inject new weapons before the release, but I have some doubts now about this x) Irata is working on Legacy.

It should while it’s md5, and you should use 32 chars, because other versions (like ET: Legacy) could more strict to that 
Yeah, I know. I was thinking of etjump’s custom guid that is not using md5 hence not 32 bytes. Doesn’t use cl_guid cvar and has nothing to do with it really.
I was just saying that I’m not sure that if you spoof your guid (by setting cl_guid to something on autoexec) I’m not sure if it even has to be 32 bytes.
