no, but you can counter it not only with melee.
this is one of the special cases where I’d recommand 2xKate with 1x Mp5 and 1x Awuga 6-gun with commander artillery or health crate + hoo-hah ar.
both weapons are very good for melee, close to be better than melees at all, and have a OK range for hit&run.
if the opponent hides and dots you, you simply Poison their kate twice and she is dead/nearly dead. + artillery and she IS dead.
now, a 2vs3 is never easy, it is not a sure win but if you play correctly you just corner their chars and atk fully or hit& run further.
you can heal up to 80 per round (even 130 with health crate), cure the poison, heal the molotov cocktail once , twice after the dot is gone.
its not too hard.
what kate+ juan lacks is pushback.
1 pushback is rarely enough for any sniper. what the good thing is here, as you said, is the DOT. take it away and you got … a 300hp guy with a weapon that’s good for range.

Angela is also good for countering Kate’s DoT. And she can heal the poison…

Since 2 maps are being played in total anyway it’s also okay if you as away player just invite the other person, just make sure he rematches you afterwards with his map pick

Can you confirm

Group Stage
For each and every game in the group stage, the player listed as the ‘home’ player will select the map in which the first game it to be played. The second game map will be selected by the ‘away’ player. If a third game is required to decide the winner, the ‘home’ player will pick the map.

This is a best of 3 series so you have to beat your opponent twice right? one being home player and one being away. Just want to make sure :slight_smile:

Game 1: Home player chooses the map of their choice and initiates game
Game 2: Away player chooses the map of their choice and initiates game
Game 3: Home player chooses the map of their choice and initiates game if the series is tied 1 to 1

This setup could lead to three different maps being played in the series.

It’s a best of 3 with every person in your group. If you win the first 2 games then you don’t need to play the third.

You should change it to (1) game now otherwise this could go on for a while. There’s a possibility of having to play 3 games with each opponent which could lead to (18) games total. And right now I can’t even get half of my opponents to play.
