I really dont understand that too. All three of us ( myself, ciakgb, kinonez) still have a chance to challenge el-co in the final. But now we have 2 problems stoping us. First is the unsettled matter between me and ciakgb. I see only 2 options to settle this. We can play an extra match with ciakgb, or if he does not want to play that he just lets me to the next round. The other problem is the map issue. Paul should give us the map list for the lower bracket final. In case we have no such list we can agree with kinonez wich maps to play. Anyway in my opinion it will be a mistake to leave the cup unfinished.

I share EL-CO’s opinion, it’s up to you two to decide, especially since the tournament can’t continue without either Mistid or Ciakgb advancing to the lower bracket final. I would sujest either replaying Favela with turned tables or that you two decide which other map to play and who goes first. I understand that Ciakgb is conftrable with the results while Mitsid desires to finish the Cup. Whoever advances can discuss with me if we continue the cup of not, and which maps should be played, assuming Paul hasn’t placed them on stone. All EL-CO and I can do now, is wait, it’s up to you two, Mitsid and Ciakgb wish you too both luck and let the best tactisian advance!! :slight_smile:

Ok, if people insist I will play–I did just have a kid in the middle of that Mitsid match!

I think the coolest would be if we started a “quad.” All of us play one another once (or twice on one map). Best total wins.

If its a one map showdown for all the marbles w Mitsid I am less excited:). Honestly? Two of three games should have been draws, with the only really clear win being mine. I don’t know, old town? We’d probably draw there too:). Me second at Favella? Pretty sadistic end to all this for me, but it was my idea.

I guess the only option is to vote. As I understand there are 3 options.

  1. Extra match between me and ciakgb, and then the cup proceeds as it should.
  2. The quad (ciakgb proposal).
  3. Finish the cup now.

I vote for number 1. But I will accept any other majority decision.

I vote for 1 and will accept 3, but not 2.
According to the rule, I have the right to be honored to be the second in the tournament (at least) and have one match advantage in the final. The quad is asking me to give up the privilege and I don’t see any reason to do so. You can ask KINONEZ21 to do triples instead of quad, but I think that is also not very fair to him for a similar reason.
It sounds like that Ciakgb is trying to change the rule in favor to him, although I DO believe that he has no such intention. Ciakgb is always respectful to rules and other players, right?
Anyway, this is the problem between Mitsid and Ciakgb and I think our results in the upper bracket should be awarded.

Of course you will have fun Ciakgb, as you will have benefit from the quad. I just want to finish this tournament, following the original rule as much as possible. If we play quad after the tournament, that would be fun for all of us.

As I voted for 1, I would suggest that Mitsid and Ciakgb will play

  1. Favela with changing the playing order, or
  2. in any map. Ciakgb will decide where to play and Mitsid will decide which one play first (vice versa).

Even though I stated I was going for popular Vote and let you guys decide, I am once again taking EL-CO´s side once again.I think the quad is relative unfair for both EL-CO and myself, and could even result longer than actually finishing the tournement by it´s original rules. If the start of the folling cup is the main objective, (reason Ciakgb used to propose the quad) then I would sujest to finish the cup now, although I would prefer to actually finish the cup.

Ok. So if I got it right we voted for an extra match between me and ciakgb. Now it is the map issue. I suggest we exclude questionable maps such as Favela, old town, bridge. It will be probably not fun to repeat train station and market. Ciakgb could you please send me list of 3-4 maps that wil be ok for you, so I can chose one? Or I can do the same if you prefer…

Or vice versa. It is up to you to decide what is better for you - pick up a map or going first. In case I pick up a map I would sujest one of those Park square, centre, suburbs. You can pick up any map from those and still go first.
