Q3Map2 online store

(ydnar) #21

The store will stay around. I plan on adding more stuff (non-Q3Map2) later.

BTW, just because you have a couple minor problems with IE6 shouldn’t be the reason you try Mozilla Firefox. You should use it because it’s better than IE6 in every way. Grab it here:

Based on ydnar’s suggestion, I tried Firefox a couple of months ago. I haven’t used IE since.

What about:

  • mouse pad
  • dust cover (need a nice for keyboard, mouse and screen ; -)
  • glass (analogon to cup :drink: )
  • little sticker (those small square for the front of computer cases)

eh… more ideas?
heh pls. don’t ask me to buy everything… these are just ideas

(rgoer) #24

as far as the back of a t-shirt is concerned… maybe something like your “cel love” series?

Do you still have that map? Maybe a better/different shot would be more appropriate? Anyway, just an idea.

(ydnar) #25

Hm, that could be cool. I’ll see what I can do.

/me slinks of to drown taxman sorrows

(ratty redemption) #26

@ydnar, cool the shop will stay open

and thanx guys and I will definitely try out that browser.

(obsidian) #27

Where can I get a PK3 of that cel map?

I’ll take one of those mousepads when available. I’m using a JBL mousepad on one computer but the other one, I’m currently using a textbook.

(ydnar) #28

@obsidian: done.

I’ll have to dig to get a PK3.

(Fracman) #29

As additional writings for some items I’d suggest:

Ydnar says:
Make sure your shader is listed in shaderlist.txt

Other possible statements:

  • one typical or nice compile setting, like: (-bsp) -meta; -vis -fast; -light -fast -smooth
  • Make sure all shader and texture files are in a PK3
  • all the version “strings” Ydnar has been using so far

(ydnar) #30

all the version “strings” Ydnar has been using so far

That’s a good idea. Need to track down Shadowspawn…I believe he’s been keeping track of them all.

(Fracman) #31

And one more… related to the nice pic rgoer showed above…
what about an image of an object or room that starts as wireframe, smoothly blends to a lightmapped scene, and from there to a fully textured environment?

(ratty redemption) #32

thats a good idea of Fracmans, I like that as it would make some sense to non mappers.

(SCDS_reyalP) #33

Still no hats. :frowning:

I’ll look pretty silly wearing the mug I ordered on my head :fiesta:

Another amusing thing one could do the the version strings would be to make some sketches or renders to go with them (i.e. a picture of a ‘well oiled toaster oven’ or ‘Melting Crayons’) I’m sure the q3map2 user community could come up with some interesting interpretation

(Fracman) #34

Lol that would be great, but i fear the available space e.g. on a mousepad will be too small given the fact there are so many versions of Q3Map2…

Sorry i forgot to mention this earlier… what about a 3D rendering of the logo “I [heart] my Q3MAP2” ?

(SCDS_reyalP) #35

q3map2 mug arrived today. Nice   :drink:

(Davros) #36

still waiting on my long sleeve shirt. has anyone from the uk ordered anything? if so how long did you wait? :drink:
