For £10, well worth it. It does take time to work out the maps, work out the guns and the gun mechanics need some work. Like any game , depends on who is playing on server, team players or other. Brink does encourage team play , kinda. It has issues but we hope and expect those to be patched . It is a niche game style but then again so is ETQW, ET,RTCW (in a way). Its a Splash Damage game that caught some consolitis. Hopefully SD is treating it with some anti-consolobiotics.We have a london based server with good pings etc that has almost always got players on. See below.

I’m gonna assume you’re meaning console price of £40? I managed to pre-order a steelbook edition that also came with a discount voucher for Rage for £22.

I preordered via steam for ~£25 with spec ops pack.
What was up with the stores here charging extra for the pre-order bonuses? Did they do that in the rest of the world too?

Somehow feel “scummy” that GAME had the preorder (standard version) and for a few £s more the “special edition” preorder which was just the preorder with preorder bonus.

It was something they did themselves, you got 2 pre-order bonuses, I think an online store Australia did that as well and maybe gamestop in the US.

Seems wrong to me. A pre-order bonus is a free insentive to pre-order the game and to go to a specific shop. At least in my eyes.

I could understand if the standard copy came with 1 bonus and the “special” came with 2 but it looks like they just took 1/2 of the bonuses away from the standard copy and then lumped them with the special so that they could make a quick buck.

At least do something special other than giving away DLC you stole from the other 1/2 of your customers if you’re trying to charge us extra GAME. Maybe art cards or delivery by clown or something. Underhanded golddiggers!

I’m not disagreeing with you, but it was up to them if they wanted to do it, and it’s up to the customer if they want to buy it. I guess some people thought £5 was worth the extra pre-order pack, and well it’s their money, not mine.

Was there a steelbook edition of Brink? I looked and looked but couldn’t find it; I assumed it was scrapped so I settled for a Game Special Edition :mad:

Speaking of Nigel - I think he is a Hater in disquise :D. He’s joined my Fireteam several times and is a great teammate on Brink - he actually plays the game more than you would think. Ironic, heh? :penguin:

According to PCGamer, Brink will be free for two weeks when the DLC lands.

If that’s true, I’d recommend not buying the game just yet and instead; trying it for free. It’s only a tenner, but it’s a tenner that’s better in your pocket if you don’t like the game.

I paid this game but i agree with the 2 weeks free but, let me say only one thing.
This is a palliative not a cure
First you should fix the 2 things that made players turn theit front on other strands

1- It should be more competitive. Actually it’s like to play dices. Someone give you suggestions about a promod. What about listen them?
2- Should be bug free. Start removing the “automatic drive” and make it manual.

People who likes the game as it is now, are a little percentage. With this solution (not), you will only give to brink 1 month life longer. Problem is not the cost. People can accept to pay 50 bucks if a game is fun. The problem is that it doesn’t please the mass as it is. Face it…

As someone used to say here, if someone points at the moon, don’t look at the finger…

I’m more than happy with and so are many others. Let’s face it, Brink was never going to go mainstream, as for comp we’ll see. You can easily get your money’s worth for £10 if it turns out to be your thing though.

The game is not broken remember, it just needs fixing :slight_smile:
