Pre-order DLC Now Available for Purchase

(RGS) #81

I’m glad to see SD release these items for sale.

That said, I’m a bit disappointed that you have to buy them in packs though as I already have Doom and Spec Ops. It’s not really about the money (it’s only £3 after all) but I do feel that those with the SE/pre-order versions shouldn’t have to re-buy content they already own…

Anyway, I’ll pick these two up soon. Despite my niggles, am happy to see them released all the same.

Just thought I’d note that both DLC packs have finally made it on to Steam.

Going to be getting some microsoft points tonight

i woudnt have minded if they hadnt had made it so that SE users have to purchase twice. IF they had put spec ops/doom and Fallout/ Phsyco i would be happy. but they blatantly put it so that we have to spend £6 on their product to get all the pre order bonuses vs the £3 everyone else has to spend.

(Pelendran) #85

That’s noth Beth/SD’s fault. You’re the one who purchased it AFTER THE FACT from a retailer.

My wife explained something to me about paying taxes once. (I don’t really get the whole money thing.) But there was something about the Government getting the interest off your money if you payed too much tax or you pay your tax before the deadline.

So, it seems to me, that in the same sense we actually spent a lot more for the pre-order considering that it was money in the bank for SD and money not in our bank. (We pre-ordered many months ahead of the release date.)

The other objection I have, which I stated before, was that making pre-order content available after release invalidates the whole concept of “pre-order content”. (Double whammy!) It is just a massive F-You to the loyal customers who shelled out their cash ahead of time.

That is assuming the value of money is going up and not down like in our economy.

Pre Order Available in the Market Place SD?

F-U-C-K YOU

Way to penny pinch your sh!tty game. Way to screw over the players who stuck with you before the game was even released and pre ordered a unfinished game. Sure things are up to date now, but you just took a piss on your vet players.
Wow I just used the greeneye scope. They were right it does give an unfair advantage.

It doesn’t only have better surrounding visibility then the Coga scope, but it is also lighter then the yeotek sight, so you can swap weapons even faster… This is going on a lot of my guns now :).
enjoy it while you can…it’s been coming off my guns…lol (just make sure you dont let it cause you to stand still too much, or try and ADS further than the weapon’s effective range…easy to do both with the GE)

@Nefarious, iezza: complain in this thread: http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php/30692-Brink-complaint-thread

(felismenari) #94

I don’t get how people can think pre-order bonuses are something sacred. They are made specifically to drive sales. That’s it. If you spent extra money on the special edition of a game, and the bonus content that came with it was later put on sale for less than you payed, then that would be a problem. However, the pre-order bonuses for Brink cost nothing. It was all a matter of where you pre-ordered your copy. So really, nobody who is reasonable would be bitching about this.

So since you’re so pissed off that Beth/SD released the pre-order content for a COST on the Marketplace/PSN/Steam, can I rage that because I had pre-ordered Dragon Age II, and got the signature edition, that the people who did not pre-order/bought the game used can go and buy the same content that I got for free for pre-ordering?

Let me state this again…

Pre-Order content almost never stays exclusive to pre-orders anymore

Pre-orderers(Is that even a word?) have the benefit that they did not have to pay for the DLC, Pre-order DLC for the most part is just timed exclusive DLC now. ****, Dragon Age II’s Pre-order DLC was available the day the game released.

TL;DR version:

Quit yer bitchin’

(wolfnemesis75) #99

Why all of a sudden are these dudes wanting these codes and all mad about paying for them, when nobody plays and the game is so much garbage according to the general consensus?
