Pre-order DLC Now Available for Purchase

(AmishWarMachine) #41

Cheated out of $0.02 is still being cheated. I don’t think iezza is arguing over the money itself, per se, but the principle of it.

iezza, I feel for you, I truly do, but I feel your anger is misplaced. You should be pissed at GAME, not SD.

but i payed £4 for 1/2 of 2 packs. so i still have to purchase both pre order packs (i got doom and spec ops and need Fallout and phsyco and both are separate) , if i had saved my money, i would have been able to buy all for £2.74 but i now wil pay £4 and 2.74 so the special did nothing…

(TruGamer97) #43

I wouldn’t mind getting it for free but i got $70 set aside for bf3 or gears 3 so I can spare $4

(R_Shackelford) #44

Fixed.

Edit: Looks like you can use smileys to fill out your ten characters. Let’s see more happy little yellow guys and less “10chars.”

Edit #2: I just looked at that Live Marketplace page that was just linked. I think it’s kind of f@cked up that they have the little slideshow with nice hi-res pics that obviously came from the PC version. Seems like a pretty clear-cut case of false advertising. (and the slideshow has TONS of duplicate pics. Idiots)

Awesome, can’t wait to pick it up later today when the store updates. I have barely had a chance to use all the new DLC stuff extensively and now I have even more weapons and attachments to mess around with. Thank god I didn’t start my last 4 characters yet becuase now I have a chance to give them some new tatoos. LOL god I can see a good 30min being spent redoing half my outfits now, hahahaha.

(iezza) #46

i demand a refound, or im giving out spec ops packs for free.

(Hot-Wire) #47

Lol I’m not even touching that logic with a 10 foot poll.

And what’s this about loyal customers losing trust. … I’m a loyal customer that got a brink preorder and couldn’t be more happy with this decision. Don’t speak for all the loyal customers.

(lobster) #48

Wow, can this company stoop any lower? Never seen a company release their pre-order bonuses to make a quick buck, you should really be ashamed of yourselves for disowning your customers. Instead of making a couple new skins, you chose to rip off your customers by using their pre-order items? Should of labeled it “3 Month Limited Time Exclusive Pre-order Bonus”. And this is coming from someone who canceled his pre-order.

(AmishWarMachine) #49

Company(s): High Moon Studios/Activision.
Game: Transformers: War for Cybertron
Pre-Order DLC: Jazz, Shockwave, Demolishor

Glad to see someone who pre-ordered isn’t unreasonable and irrational. And lobster, this isn’t the first case of pre-order bonuses being made available for people to purchase.

(CleaverDancer) #51

For all those moaners, let me remind you who owns the Brink name… BETHESDA! the makers of the infamous PAID Horse Armour DLC, don’t you think it was probably their choice to release them?

If it was SD my guess it would have been for free.

You’re barking up the wrong tree, bub. Go talk to GAME and Bethesda.

Erm…

two reasons

A)will GAME liostne to me ? no.

B) i sorta got perma IP banned from bethesda forums for leaking some quakecon footage. 38 minutes of pure uncut skyrim! PM me for secret freinds only link! Viva la robolution!

(lobster) #54

I never said it hasn’t been done before, I stated that I have never seen it done. Regardless if you want to defend the decision or not, it’s a quick grab for some cash from the sinking ship. And I don’t really care who is behind the decision, at the end of the day the developers had to sign a contract with the publisher. Instead of pushing out updates and fixes they are just trying to extract more money out of you by reusing content that was supposedly exclusive pre-order bonuses. What a joke that people defend this, have fun dressing up your characters like barbies.

(CleaverDancer) #55

Wooaaah there buddy, you still haven’t learned anything about the publisher > developer relationship have you?
Developers are traditionally paid as ‘work for hire’, the publisher pays them to make the game (putting up the money) which means they (the publisher) get to keep the profits as return on their investment, simples!

(nephandys) #56

You’ve really never seen this before? It’s happened with almost every PC game I ever played. Especially with MMOs they wind up putting all the preorder crap in the item shop in no time. I don’t necessarily agree with it but I knew it would happen.

(Hot-Wire) #57

It’s now available on the Ps3 guys :D!

(iezza) #58

Seriously. give me my money back.

Yeah, I’m sure with the exchange of thousands of millions of dollars they don’t bother with negotiations or contracts./sarcasm

Nope. I have over 50+ steam titles as well as about 20+ console DVD titles and never seen this done.

+1 the point of PRE-ORDER BONUS is to reward those who pay full price for a game at release as a PRE ORDER. Not in anyway should it be considered “Pre-Order but wait a few months later and we will start selling them to all at a reduced price”.

Considering how bad the launch was for this game the fact that people did pre-order and had to put up with a lot of crap and now a load of late comers can just snap up what was offered as an exclusive bonus to us, that’s taking the piss on an epic scale. The fact that those of us who did pay up front regardless of what was paid at the time are now being cheated for no other reason then money grubbing makes me want to bin the ****ing game.
