I’m just following the example of the OP.
I don’t experience this problem, must be your connection.

I can’t tell what’s going on in that pic. Can you post a higher res version?
Thanks,
JJ

This is just logic. IF I have to download bigger images, THEN the loading times will be longer. This is entirely unrelated to the speed of your connection.
There is logic and there is fact. The fact is, it doesn’t take me any longer to load any of the pages in this thread than it takes to load any other thread.
Now, to get back on topic.
Cheers,
JJ
Well, gee, you have to take into account people viewing the forums from mobiles/tablets with no broadband. I was browsing this thread earlier on my phone and it took forever to load plus out of memory errors. Also, oversized pictures make the page very long and browsing is mostly filled with scrolling over huge images.
I have yet to see a picture from you that actually needed such big res. Most of the time lower res makes the pic look better.
Also, i mind you horizontal scrollbars in any webpage is the worst thing that can happen, and you deliberately make people scroll left/right to see your pic(which might not fit on everyone’s screen).
How’d you feel if i filled the thread with 100 4k*4k res pictures of Brink(i doubt your net will download them all in a second)?

Really!?!? You lowered my reputation for posting screenshots to a screenshot thread. Did you not read the title?
How about you take a deep breath and slowly count down from 10.
Never said I was.

Okay, lets take this discussion to a dedicated thread: http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php?p=367302
To get back on topic: Verticae, really digging your shots, gives the game an incredibly cinematic feel.
For everyone using tablets, mobile phones on 3G to view this thread, disable signatures. You will find pages load massively faster.
Lets be honest, you are not missing anything by not looking at sigs.
Its what I do on my phone and I have no trouble loading any thread including this one and I have to put up with the crappy and overloaded 3G system in rip off Britain.

Sorry i squashed it badly 2 fit forum…
Thats a gun in mid air just hanging…its an airgun:)
No seriously it was hanging there and it was firing at times…i was aware of a gun fight close by
were someone on my team died(gun owner) then it disappeared…
OK, I just tested this out with a 1st generation iPad on a 3G connection with 2 bars. It took me 21 seconds to load the 3rd page of this thread (the one with all the big screenshots). Being a computer/network/telecom tech I have access to most any hardware/connection to test this kind of claim out. (The large screenshots look amazing on the iPad btw.)
So, either you are really impatient or something is wrong with your tablet. Regardless, giving me negative reputation was completely unwarranted.
+1
This is exactly what I’m talking about.

EDIT: Just used the iPad to zoom in on your screenshot and I can see the gun clearly now. It’s like Blade Runner!
Ya know, for all their smarts, the Founders sure are wasteful. You know how much juice it would take to perpetually pump out that constant influx of seawater? And sal****er pumps wear a lot faster than freshwater.
Edit: that’s “sal.t.water.”
Hehe.

You can’t say sal****er without the word ****!

The dynamic lighting on characters looks really nice in screenshots, I never seem to notice it much ingame.

The image itself is like something out of a 90’s rave.

This is exactly what thumbnails are for.
Anyone noticed this prohibition. And that exactly on the CC-map, the devs must have some kind of premonition.
