I just hope there will be a patch before weekend.
I mean,i dont wanna be your beta testers.I buyed the release version not some sort of beta version.
Seems developers and publishers really dont care anymore about their costumers and potential costumers.
Console players – JUNE.
SD still has to figure out what’s wrong, then tweak with whatever, then test it, then re-tweak with whatever. They could do this in one day and we would still have to wait until June because Microsoft and Sony still have to certify it or whatever. There are certain things, like weapon values, spawn timers, etc. (other minor data) that SD can fix without releasing a patch. So at least we know that the upcoming patch will be worth something… and not something like “changed a typo.”
Wrong. There are tons of people playing this game on XBL. A lot of the casual gamers gave up on it because of the lobby system, but there are a bunch of people still playing privates/scrims if you are good enough to compete.
Sad but true.
This game has potential but it’s killed by both technical issues and the low review scores by common game magazines and websites. SD is to blame for the technical issues, but the low review scores i believe is unfair. I’m considering trading the game in myself before the trade value lowers.
and i’m sure there’s tons of people playing tropico 3 too. i’m pretty sure SD doesn’t want to lose the “casual gamers.” regardless what we think…it’s still about MONEY to them…and the 5% hardcore minority isn’t going to sustain this game.
give them some time. its only been a few days since last patch (for pc anyway) and only a little over a week since the game was released.
please tell me what game have you bought in the past that the developers give explicit time when they are going to release updates,etc?

Look, I love this game as much as the next hardcore Brink fan… but other games were at least PLAYABLE. For example, BC2 (I refuse to label it a Battlefield game) had issues upon release but it was playable. In Brink, sometimes I can play for a few hours before experiencing lag, other times I keep getting connected to the same laggy game.
This is a fun game when it works… but I don’t see it lasting past the summer (on consoles at least). For that reason, I’m sure I’m not the only one guilty of contemplating trading it in before value lowers (current trade-in value is $23). I don’t suspect there are many people left playing this game.
