This has been going on for weeks tho. Rubber banding, ping spikes, sudden disconnects etc.
Should be common knowledge.
Please fix your servers
Asia has been laggy. Certain games will go well then suddenly I see people rubberbanding. Also there are games where every merc feels like their a Rhino. It takes so many bullets to take someone down. Then later suddenly I can kill everything so easily. Please fix your servers.
The ping stated on the browser always changes once we enter the game and a higher or sometimes lower number is stated and fluctuates.
Game has not felt right the past week for me. It was ok and was getting better after the patch now same ol same ol.
Hope there is a server maintenance soon because usually that fixes it for awhile
Servers are indeed quite laggy in Europe recently, but have already been in a recursive fashion every time there’s no service interruption for a week.
UE3 servers are not so reliable if they’re not restarted on a regular basis. All UE3 games I played needed a server restart once every two days because after a while, you started to feel huge lag spikes, warps, momentary ping increase…
Possibly due to the anti-lag here, effects are less noticeable but to me it feels like servers need more regular maintaining.
Huh, and I figured it was just me having connection troubles with EU servers and my terrible internet… Guess it’s more wide-spread. Hopefully they’ll fix this… :s
I thought that it was just my connection.
There was some heavy rubberbanding and stuttering going on yesterday, on the EU servers that I played on, and everything happened with a weird delay.
been experiencing this all morning as well
[Connection to server lost… trying to reconnect…] while getting over 10k score = oh, you are so screwed.
Congtrats on the time-evaporation!!
-Playing in South Korea
Yes
- People I play with on Mumble and TeamSpeak have the same issues … - Remember that those apps also use bandwidth and can contest DB for it.
There is no way those apps are contesting DB for bandwidth when they and DB use less than 1 Mbit together on a 25 Mbit connection. Besides, it’s not only the rubber banding affecting everyone on the server (and on TS), it’s the disconnects, short ones and long ones (kicks), all at the same time, so it’s definitely not the VOIP causing it.
