Please could I have a beta key???

(HeadBreaker) #121

(small note: Did not open a new thread because of my small question.)

Hi there!
I wanted to know how it is now with the Beta access times goes on.
Because I’m actually “permanent registered” - already are dirty bomb, but so far I did not get any key or some sort of message.
What should I do so to finally get access times.

(an option for a key that can be purchased is not acceptable - I will have to buy anything, but test the game)

greeting Sven / HeadBreaker

As fa as I know, the beta invites are done by waves. Just be patient and maybe the next wave brings you in

(HeadBreaker) #123

Well, on my situation is it a loooooooooooooooooooong wave… … i know ican only wait, but it’s really annoying

Thanks for answer

(Nail) #124

some people found them in their spam/junk folders

(HeadBreaker) #125

I did not receive a message until today - i look every day through my e-mails. Even my spam folder has nothing.

(Korpblast) #126

You’re not alone :C

(KevlarTux) #127

Yeah, I check my spam folder religiously. Not to check for Extraction invites, mind you. Mostly just because phishing attempts from the African continent are hilarious.

(HeadBreaker) #128

For games I use this e-mail address.
For spam and other registrations do I use a different one.
And then I have one is purely for private purposes.

Go now Keys out?
I saw by chance that me already since Dec 15. 2012 had registered for the beta.

(davidemo89) #131

lol, you bought the beta and didn’t know? xD

(Mustang) #132

No, I think he’s saying he signed up to be invited in December 2012, and still hasn’t received an invite.

(HeadBreaker) #133

Right!! This is only the date on which I had registered myself for the beta. Silk which I did not get any key, not even an email.
While it is, the hope dies last. When I look at the date, then I have no doubt but that.

(stroggsoldier) #134

Hello could anyone kindly offer me a beta? I would really like to try this game.

(TeundeDreun) #135

Sup folks! Could someone help me with beta acces. Would buy if posible

(TastyTease) #136

Just came here to say that I find it somewhat of a waste that this game went into closed beta some time ago, that people are still willing to pay to get access (and thus offer money to users with spare keys) and there’s no way to buy their way in through a more official way. I understand that Splash wants to make an “ethical” F2P game, but your developers need food on the table too, so put some packages on offer that are less impressive than the Founders, but still cool to get so people can show off they were in the closed beta. Just my 2 cents. In the mean time, just going to wait and keep reading about the game.

(TeundeDreun) #137

Indeed they should. They should give eveybody that purchased brink a free beta key. That game wasnt what they promised and still I would pay for a key.

I see two issues with your proposal:

  1. The game is free to play. By buying in at this stage of the development you pretty much contradict the economical model. The founder packs were not there to put food on the devs tables, but to buy all the swag that comes with them. At the time they needed a larger player base to feed ECHO.

  2. Being in closed beta doesn’t mean that the game is ready for gamers to play with it. It is still extensively in development and the devs will let more players in when they feel the game is ready enough for it. Having an overly crowded closed beta will not help more.

And it is closed beta for a reason: if anyone can join by buying in it’s not closed anymore. However there could be some pre-ordered packages of swag for the game with the possibility to join in one or two weeks before the official release. I’m sure they have plans for such things but people will want to see actual footage of the game before buying such packs

(TeundeDreun) #139

Atleast with a buy-in I could share my thoughts and make sure the 15yr old kids wont ruin the path the developers take since they never played the ET genre. Using the word swag also shouldnt be allowed.

(RasteRayzeR) #140

Most of the alpha founders (if not all) come from W:ET and ET:QW, from the comp scene mostly. We are giving feedback accordingly

And don’t worry, I can tell you that there is no 15yr kiddo influencing the devs ala CoD. The game is fast-paced and well, it does capture some of the magic of ET. Also the word “swag” is used by the developers, I use it as a reference to that

If you want to help and participate, I strongly encourage you to check regularly these forums and don’t hesitate to make new threads. Even if you currently cannot give feedback on the game itself, you can offer a feedback on what you expect it to be, what you wish to see in game or what concepts / style / game mechanics you would find interesting. It’s just as important as the feedback we give imo.
