PC Stat Site is now LIVE!

(Thundermuffin) #21

An extra incentive to play more would be an engaging, fixed game. There’s no reason to play the game for stats, especially when you’ll only be able to “show off” to the few hundred people that still play BRINK. Today was the first time in a long time I even started BRINK up and that was just to get this useless stats code. The last time I started BRINK I was unable to play because the server browser was broken, because Steam was having maintenance.

Since we’ve given SD lots of stick recently, I’m just going to say thanks for the effort, guys

Oh, and either the PC engineers are slacking, or some of the stats aren’t registering. Apparently 1463 matches have been played, and exactly 0 buffs have been handed out by engineers

There was no stats site from the beginning and therefore no stats tracking. It worked the same for console players when we got the stats site as well. Sorry for the disappointment. While I would want to see my stats from the beginning as well, I think everyone knew that the site would start as a blank slate as they already saw what happened with the console stats.

Also now that it is working for you guys be prepared for the fact that it borks out all the time. Ex: All stats set to 0 and stop tracking, my total XP is like over 200k less than if you add up xp by class, matches stop tracking, wrong weapon stats shown, etc. But, hey at least you have the site up.

Yes I did read the original post and I’m commenting on it. Sort of like people do on forums.

You are trying to insult me and failing miserably. Also something people do on forums.

Forumed!

Is AnthonyDA some kind of troll? I’ve never seen him say anything positive.

Ah, thanks for this info I was actually wondering if the console players had the same experience.

It would have been nice if SD had at least started recording PC stats (even if they were unable to display them) at the same time they brought up the console stat sites just so we could have some equal comparisons. As it is, the stats make it look as if the console gamers had a months head start on the PC gamers.

Also, I feel the stats are going to be somewhat skewed as I have 5 characters at level 20, one specializing in each class and a Jack-of-all-trades, but I hardly ever play my medic or operative any more.

He’s french :oppressor:

(murka) #28

Well, he may be trolling, but he was right. Was stated that stats started being tracked when the pc stats site went up and this guy comes complaining that it shows only time played since going live…

(BROTOX) #29

Thats great, where’s the DLC?

(Crytiqal) #30

Technically, a website IS downloadable content. Have fun

(Tandem) #31

player not found

great stats…

(Spendlove) #32

Doesn’t look like weapon buffs are being tracked, its showing as 0 across the board.

You probably have to enter the code from your game and set up your account on the stats site. That’s how it works for console players anyway.

(Darksider) #34

Yes and it’s the same way for PC players, Tandem dude is just being a drama queen.

(QUIK420) #35

Congrats to the PC crows whoever is still around. And if security is winning at least that makes one platform.

And as a little incentive from the console group feel free to play catch up :stuck_out_tongue: I’m on Infamous 2 atm but as soon as the DLC and patch are up ill be Brinking my brains out.

(Cep) #36

Well it will be interesting to see what class I spend my time on the most, and weps. Shames it wasnt started from the get go but meh, thanks SD for the little extra.

(Thundermuffin) #37

He isn’t being a drama queen by any means and that’s foolish to say he is; he’s just annoyed, like the rest of us, that this was just another feature not working on release. It’s like 1 step forward from ET:QW and a million steps backwards.

(Darksider) #38

Blah, blah, blah, You’re a broken record change your tune… The fact he said “player not found” is because he did not sign up and registered his code, Stat site is not going to recognize who you are just by putting in your game name in login info.

(Thundermuffin) #39

He wasn’t talking about that; he meant he actually searched his player name (just as I did mine, dommafia’s, and inf3rn0’s since I know all 3 of us haven’t played today…or in a while and none of our names show up even though we’ve all put in 70 to over a hundred hours in) and it didn’t show up. Gotta love not tracking stats until the majority of the playerbase is gone!

My name only shows up now because I actually started BRINK for like 1 minute today to get my code and logged out.

How many times does this need to be said, Stat site did/does not record any stats before going live, this is common knowledge already, had been since the console guys got their stat sites a month ago. NO point continuing to bitch about it, the dirty deed is done, either start fresh with the stat site now in place or just move on to something else…
