Patch coming today!

Lmao, Sparks nerf. I can’t believe people b*tched about this enough that they decided to actually do something.
I appreciate that they are listening and looking at ECHO stats, but they gotta listen to a different part of the community.

RIP Sparks

Well, yeah sorry, the Trade-In “bug fix” broke the games neck for me. @RazielWarmonic

(RazielWarmonic) #44

What do you mean by the “games neck”? Maybe @NxA_Noxie has more insight?

It is the last change that really just makes that area of the game worthless. Not being able to trade in crads from the same merc is a bad “fix”. The 24,000 credit wall is enough of a hinderance to stop players from trading in too much, not to mention the net gain is -1 cobalts. It was bad when it was supposed to be implemented correctly, and it’s bad now when it is actually working.

I mean the fact that this game is about RNG and the loadouts, and now it’s super restricted and people will get more useless cards than ever before. I put a shitton of work in some cards I wanted to trade-in for cards of the same merc and now I can do shit with them.

The RNG in the loadouts is fun for COSMETIC reasons, however for viability in the augments or weapons I believe they should just drop it.

Look, we all know for each merc there is only one or two viable loadouts, the rest of the loadouts are impractical. There is legitimately no reason why you should a different sparks loadout then the 383.

That’s not my issue.

(Amerika) #49

Since I rarely trade-in/trade-up I’m not too well versed on this. But to my understanding, as the game is today post-patch, you cannot take a few Stoker cards and trade them in for another Stoker card. You must use other merc cards that aren’t Stoker instead? Is this correct?

(Jostabeere) #50

Yes.
And seriously, I don’t fucking get it. Patches ago when Trade-Ins were introduced, you couldn’t use a merc as trade-in material for the same merc. It was changed after that because people complained they have cards they wan’t to trade-in for the same merc and can’t do. Now, by some utterly stupid reason we have the old trade-in version and can’t use, for example, Stokers for a Stoker trade-in.

That has to be a bug. There is no way anybody rationally thought that was a good idea simply because the logic chain does not compute.

You do not limit what people can trade in to potentially avoid getting one of the same cards back by requiring you to use cards from other mercs. You might be able to use other cards but you could still get the same card you do not want. Which not only doesn’t fix the issue but makes it worse. And considering how much cost/time/luck goes into getting a cobalt it makes that whole scenario even crazier. That would not only be a lazy bandaid “fix” but it would actually break the system for anybody who only had cards of the same merc they wanted to trade-in for.

Yeah, this has to be a bug.

(Jostabeere) #52

If it’s a bug, and I hope for the sake of my DB future it is one, why would anyone put it as a feature in the patchnotes?

(Sithas) #53

I traded kira cards for a new kira card so the trade up still works on that part,so i suspect its just a trade in bug

(SnakekillerX) #54

I think it means it was a bug that previously allowed you to trade the loadout card you were already using on a merc in your party. As it should only allow trade in of un-equip cards.

EDIT:

I just got in game and see what you mean though, all cards for that merc are no longer available for trade-in… yeah, probably a bug.

(Jostabeere) #55

That’s what I thought in the first line. But then it sounds like it’s what we are speaking about. Back in the days you just couldn’t use cards. Now they don’t even appear in the trade-in menu.

It’s a feature. Not a bug.

(SnakekillerX) #57

Pretty lame if so, since its under the list of “bug fixes”.
Trade-in system was bad enough without this.

(yenku) #58

At the end of bugfix list…

  • Fixed bug where players could use Loadout Cards for the selected Merc to Trade In

Awesome, FU Trade IN.

Yeah, it’s very lame. I hope it’s just a bug because if getting for example the one Cobalt loadout you wanted wasn’t hard enough before, it’s even harder now.

Basically, if you try trading up for one specific cobalt Nader loadout now, but fail the first time, that Cobalt loadout you got will not be usable in trade-in for another Cobalt Nader. You’re gonna have to get a whole new Cobalt card in order to even try again for the one specific Nader Cobalt loadout you wanted. To top it all off, you also need to have one spare Cobalt for the trade-in to even happen since you need 2 Cobalts.

That’s a pretty big deal honestly. If this is a feature, and not a bug, I have to congratulate whoever came up with it for the most idiotic decision and biggest slap in the face for the players yet in this game.
