yes, I played it a bit, but it was still not very nice :S
but as I was saying the gametype on UT3, I wasn’t talking about domination, I was talking about onslaught or warfare?.
you made a map with this type I think.

Well in UT3 they have an orb, each team has 1. When you bring the orb to a point you immediately get that point.
Do you have UT3? Then you would know :stuck_out_tongue:

no tell me more … ye i made an onslaught map but in my opinion it has too many bugs, maybe i once complete this map…

well jut like in UT2004 you have 5 nodes for example that you have to capture in a certain order, once you have them all you can destroy the enemies generator.
The new thing is the Orb, each team has one and it you can take it at your base, or sometimes at the middle point in a map. each team only has 1. Once you are carrying the orb, you can’t enter vehicules.
If you get killed carrying the orb, you drop it and your team gets 10 seconds to grab it. If they fail to do so, it s returned to the base. If the enemy tries to take it within these 10 seconds it is destroyed, and then the other team can’t take it from the terminal for 30 seconds.

If you are carrying the orb and are near a node that is yours then the enemy can’t capture that node, until you die (and drop the orb).
If you are carrying the orb and run to an enemy node that is captureable by your team, then it immediatly changes to your teams node. But the orb is lost. and takes 30 secs to regenerate at your base. Unless the enemy is protecting that node with their orb carrier, then you first have to kill their orb carrier, before you can capture the point.

i did ^^ soudns very interesting… you wanna do a nice designed map for that? ^^ i would do the orb.
then i need some extra information… but i think it is logical what i need…

  • the orb carrier looks different to make everybody know he has the orb?
  • what about that order… the same like onslaught?
  • do my captured nodes have to figure a non-interrupted line like in onslaught? or may i loose each node except of that next to enemys generators to attack it?
  • if they have to form a line from my to the opponents generator will nodes decay if that line is interrupted?

-well thats where your shield comes in ^^ in UT he holds it in his hand I believe or it flies behind him, but with you shield it could fly around your head…
-yes same order
-yes a non-interrupted line
-yes they should decay

and I already tried to make something UT /ET like see my map orb_battle
there you have to battle to get hold of an orb, that orb idea was taken from UT (the design)
in UT there is also such a machine with an orb in it, but the orb only has 1 small orb flying around it I think not so many as I put in my map :D, but I wanted it to look nice.
