New Gameplay/Commentary

Texture Pop-in is likely due to running the game off disc and not HDD. I can imagine the difference being substantial. PC version will be much better.

It does look a little slow, but the maps are very tight as well. Also, there has to be good contrast between heavy, light, and regular body types. I assume playing a light type with fov90+ will feel pleasantly zippy.

Yes, looking at the console-FOV really makes me wonder how anyone is able to play on consoles anyway. First things I do in any (modern) FPS is adjust the FOV to my liking.

And since the guy is clearly awful at gaming anyways…I’m not worried about the PC gameplay at all. Makes me sad though that some guys will consider this “review” while making their decision to buy Brink.

We adjust just like anything else… Having been a console gamer all my life I’m use to it… Personally I hate playing on PCs, not my style… Mouse/keyboard may be more accurate etc but I’ll take my ps3 controller over that any day…

Yes, it might be only a matter of time to adjust to the gameplay on consoles. Heck, I even own a PS3 and Bad Company 1 for it. But having used a mouse and keyboard for so long, I can’t fathom the use of two sticks for moving around  .

The FOV on a big 50 inch TV Screen might just work. But sitting in front of a decent monitor with a better FOV really is essential for me. To each his own though
