It would be great if we could get into that burning tower and deliver it on some higher floor. A final objective similar to Outskirts.
New Carry Obj Mechanic
I’m in favour of having instant pickup brought back. The TTK in this game is too short to be stood still picking things up :(. Its also been a bit clunky, especially at the pickup point where there are rarely any enemies there anyway (or shouldn’t be).
Good to hear that something is going to be done about the close defender spawn at the transmit :).
The last cup was enough proof that this new pick up thing is beyond a terrible idea and it doesn’t work. No team was able to secure 3 of those things on WC.

Yeah I’m not too happy about the K/D rating. At least not in such a prominent position.
Point taken on the latter, but we’re in the process of significantly re-working XP to give far greater rewards for objectives and teamplay.
I like the how caring works. Its more Skill based! But 3 Obj on White are to many. Cut that down to 1 and its perfect for competition!
It obviously promotes more teamwork, but I don’t think I will ever touch a carry objective on public servers as long as it takes away my ability to shoot while carrying.
Yup, I dont even bother to touch it after the patch. And I still dont think it adds any more teamplay, it just makes completing obj more difficult.

I feel that as long as the doc run objective itself is attacker biased in other ways, losing combat from a player by holding onto the core wont really matter so much. From the defenders point of view however, when the attackers havent cleared the objective area and they need to drop the core to “5man” I like the idea of running a Phantom and getting him to steal it (i dont know if thats currently viable/possible atm though).
I would honestly like to see assists on the K/D section regardless.
Its obvious you was careful about putting that info back up and thats the reason that its in a smaller font then the XP.
I honestly believe that well presented information is better then no information regardless. Honestly, I started feeling blind when on a losing team before the KD stuff was re added. Its not about blame… Its simply about understanding. like “We all have more XP then the enemy but we are getting owned makes no sense” compared to “Ah we are doing the objective and teamplay right but we are simply not killing” lol
Kinda wish there was a way you could add “Objective/Teamplay” actions. However, I cannot come up with a decent value system… like +1 point per 2 reviews or 4 heals and +5 for a plant with offenceive and defensive points given also. infact… I think with a bit of planning I could come up with this kinda points system… gives more info than simple KD or XP… I will look into it >.<
Surely we can all think of much better ways of dealing with this obj. The proven fall-back is ofc the traditional run-and-carry, but if SD wants to do something to it I can think of a whole lot of better mechanics than gimping the carrier.
Just some ideas to keep it constructive…

The carriable becomes a unique weapon type, ranged/melee/special abil capable. Perhaps functioning like an LG, alt-fire melee, and an activate AOE effect (like a slow or friendly speed boost or smthn) on c/d. People should want to pick the thing up and it would be great if it involved it’s own unique user experience.

Have the distance away from the pickup determine a forward spawn position for offense, ie the further forward the carriable is the further forward the offensive spawn is in that moment. This rewards the meticulous pushes/map control, and is way more team strategy oriented for both sides.

How about instead of delivering data cores you have to steal the server data core from that area were you deliver.
You then have to return the server data to the church.
Give enemy’s a back way out of spawn that pops up by that garage.

I suggested this a long time ago. Open up the Chapel again to make it relevant and have that as the secure point.
