MS Paint Drawings!

Well, first of all, I was thinking there was a kind of rule or something, for the most LOLs or for the most LIKES or most AGREES, anyway something logical and not RNG. True that OP didnt sound that specific, but sounded overall like a CONTEST imop and not LOTTERY bs.
When you have a vote system (Agree/Like/LOL) and competitors have different quality art works and different amount of time invested in their art works, is just sooooo wrong to
“picking people at random”. It is a distinctive line between “buying a lottery ticket” and creating something from your own imagination with your own (bad or good) tallents, and that its calling CREATIVE ACT. It is indeed a very, very, very thick and long line between them.

My mistake apparently, but if thats the way things go here, I prefer to stay out from such activities and from forum in general, sorry.

P.S. Maybe I am not the only one disappointed here? Who knows…[/quote]

Hey there,

This wasn’t a contest. If it was, I would have posted lengthy rules and would have to had gotten legal involved, which I didn’t want to do on a short amount of time.

I just wanted to do something fun while the servers will down.

I picked random participants until the servers were back up. It was completely up to you whether or not you wanted to participate!

When it is an actual contest, I (among others) judge based on certain criteria such as artistic talent, execution, etc. but the whole point of an MS Paint contest is to be silly and not necessarily put a whole lot of work in.

I hope this clears things up!

Cheers.

Random lotto’s fine. Makes sense. I think what frustrates me is that the particulars of the event were unclear until after everything was done and over with.

I know it was just a silly event, and it was fun, but it’s tough to manage your expectations well when the people settings things up haven’t really done much to help you define them. A quick blurb conveying how the process will be handled (i.e. “winners will be selected at random”), and an announcement to let people know the event’s over would go a long way towards preventing butt-hurt like this in the future.

can’t wait for more contests, I love seeing the talent in the community. And thanks for the spontaneous give away @RazielWarmonic because I don’t know many teams that do that sort thing out of the blue and it was lovely to see.

Don’t let the sourpusses get you down
