Cheers for them. They wouldn’t unduly bother me as such, since most are merely spectator glitches from caulking non-visible places for players.
Having said that, I’ll fix 'em cos for the sake of a few extra polygons it’ll make it better - especially since the obvious ones are where spectators spawn so are likely to find 'em immediately.
The sci-fi part with the electric beams (forgot the name of the zone, sorry) does look a bit unreal-y to me, yes. I like it
My fps on the map is GREAT. Railgun normally gives me 30-40 fps or so, but I get 100+ in most parts of this map. The sci-fi part makes it drop to 50-60, but since I normally cap at 43 it doesnt matter anyway :drink:
I’ve found one graphical glitch I’m sure you can find yourself: at initial axis spawn, look at the sky. You can see the edges of the brushes coming together on some places. Not really important, but still.
The cranes with the containers are brilliant. I spent about 10 minutes just riding those things.
I really like the ‘industrial age city’ look or however you call it.
Can you be more specific where you get low FPS ? Do you mean everywhere you see sky, or one specific section. If it is a specific section, can you provide screenshot of that bit ?
FWIW, I get 76 FPS everywhere on that map, with a much lower spec system. XP1600 + gf2ti 64mb. Of course I run low settings to get that, but that is much better than FPS than I get on the standard maps.
How does your FPS compare to the standard ET maps ?
This map is VERY LARGE!!!..I like the concept…and YES for the mappers it has alot to offer!!! there are so many areas to explore, we spent 2 hrs last night just looking thru the different areas…No shooting…just walking around in aw…
As far as playing It is very hard to learn, I put this in my rortation for 4 cycles and Most players were still lost in the map…:), Maybe the map could be broken down into smaller maps for easier playability???
