models not showing in .pk3

Actually scrap that - you can simply go to www.rtcwfiles.com and download the source to MML_CHURCH - it has the md3s in there.

oh yeah huh…doh :banghead:
thanks again.

so the answer to just include EVERY model you yous in your pk3 file??
I tried that with the command post model but it still did not show up!!!

(G0-Gerbil) #24

It should work without having to include the PK3.
You’ll note I only give out my modified MD3 in the source - it’s not in the actual game PK3 file.

Anything that is in your map as a misc_model does not need to be included in the PK3, it’s effectively hard-coded into your map.
misc_gamemodels and any other run-time models (eg model2 key in a script_mover) would need to be included in the pk3 IF they are custom.

Those that ship with ET shouldn’t need to be included.

thats what I thought as well but if I dont include them they dont show up.
and the commandpost models dont show up even then.

can misc_models be turned on and off with scripts like game_models?
if so I will try changing all my models to that class.

ok for the record Misc_models can NOT be controled by scripts !!
I just tried.
I am going back to fighting the pk3 issue
