Agreed - Bump minimum lvl for ranked. Add party system for casual. Replace XIGN. Release private servers.
In particular replacing XIGN to remove hackers from ranked has been mentioned by MissMurder on the 29th, but she didn’t state progress.

note levels and pings.
please raise the level for matchmaking to at least 7 again!
The devs didn’t know how many people were going to play. Things being choked up a bit is a good sign that the game is being played by a lot of people. This allows them to properly spin up new resources.
Again, this is a beta and this type of stuff is meant to happen. If the game was complete and released then I’d support what you’re saying. But, like almost every other game that went into a beta like this, it’s having issues. A company can’t buy a ton of resources and find out they only need 1/3 of those resources to make everything stable. But they can quickly buy new resources when the playerbase remains consistent to ensure stability and easy growth.
Levels are fine. 5 to 7 isn’t going to deter cheaters. It’s a few more hours of grinding but most hackers aren’t going to care, and it won’t have any impact on the unbalanced teams. You’re not going to beat almost anyone level 20+ with level 7s.
The issue is not level requirements, its matchmaking itself. I actually don’t think there is matchmaking in this game. I think the queue takes the first 10 people it gets and puts them on a server. I’m silver 1 and have queued solo and been matched with 4 unranked level 5s on my team against a premade of level 20+ players who are all gold or higher. Similarly I’ve queued for North America and been matched with people who queued for Europe on an AUS server…
I don’t think there is any matchmaking whatsoever. It seems to just take the first 10 people it gets and puts them on a seemingly random server.
