Here’s a drain I put together. I’m not sure if this is the kind you meant but whoever wants it can have it. You might want to add some dirt to it cause it’s pretty clean. No credit is necessary.

Tga with alpha channel (it has that white outline problem, I don’t remember how you get rid of that.)

Don’t use a white background with the texture. You should always use black or a dark color similar
to the colors in the texture as your background.

madjack you’re never going to learn how to do these things if you ask other people for them. Mapping is probably the best opportunity to practice your 3d and 2d skillz.

NOP, believe me, I tried… REALLY HARD!

I would take me days or even weeks to get to what you put there… I can follow a PS tutorial any day but when it comes to actually making something on my own… I would really love doing it though. I have absolutely no idea how to make simple things. Psychadelic stuff is no problem but when it comes down to something real… :frowning: I’ve stopped counting how many photoshop/PSP tutorials I’ve done.

I can change/modify about anything. At least I got to learn that :smiley:

NOP, I agree with chavo, decals or any additive, alpha blending tex, should be on a black or very dark background, and if the mask is at least a pixel smaller then the color channels outline, then you wont get any unwanted pixels after the blend… also, if you apply a blur filter to the mask, then it will blend smoother in game, unless you want a sharp edge, which doesn`t always look right with circles as they appear more pixilated then straight edge shapes.

Well i threw this together in about 15 min or so, and i didn’t think much about how it would look in game.
But that’s why i provided the photoshop psd file so he could easily make changes to it.
@MadJack if the white outline causes you a problem just make the alpha mask a pixel or two smaller. That should fix it.

@ NOP, texture looks ok in the map but I’ll wait until ratty comes up with his and I’ll decide then.

@ ratty, it does make more sense… though I wouldn’t know how to fix it in the psd, I’ll try anyway :slight_smile:

seriously, if you still would like to see my version when its done, your welcome to it... as I said Ive got to make at least one of these for my own project, so its no trouble, and I dont mind if you dont then use mine if your using NOPs or anyone else`s.
