Massive frame and audio stuttering

if you go to the technical support forums there are like 5 similar threads about it and some of them have way better hardware.
if i had 10 fps and then I would move on and say ok my laptop is too bad, but the game never goes under 35 fps and is still unplayable.
with my current config i never get under 45 and it still becomes unplayable and sound is stuttering.

I’ve only suggested what you can go do to eliminate any doubt and pass it along to the devs. You describe, almost exactly, a system getting throttled down due to excessive heat. You say you get more slowdown now than last patch. What happens if the devs made a change that hits your CPU harder than last patch and you weren’t overheating then but you are now? Things like that happen a lot in software development.

Also, people get slowdowns that appear similar despite happening due to different reasons. Somebody might have an issue with Optimus. Another might be using the 2 year old CD geforce driver instead of the most recent downloaded one. Another might have heat issues due to them making waffles in their PC while trying to play Dirty Bomb. The point is it’s better to be sure and pass along that information. Data accumulation is pretty important during a beta or during troubleshooting.

well when I’m in an open and bright place fps will drop and stay in 4-11 before last update fps where 60-45 i had just a same broblem in old wolfenstein enemy territory made by id and splash Damage but it was easy to fix by writing something in consol but i dont remember that command any more it whas somethind /fixsomes#ht-2 but wolf:et didn’t use any grapy unrealbugner 9000

85c is pretty hot regardless of the processor you are running and REALLY hot for a laptop processor. I’d wager it’s the system throttling you down to try and keep it from melting that is causing the lag. Even if it doesn’t get any hotter than 85c it’s because the system is doing all it can to keep it from going over.

I just want to say that my old laptops (hp pavilion7) temperatures where allways average 85c and it did manage to work allmost 7 years but now only games that manage to rise my new laptos temperatures are war thunder and space engineers and some times gerball space brogram does the same but it happens only whit allmost 15 satelites.

People playing on laptops really should understand that their laptop is the issue. Not the game.

The main issue with laptops is the heat, it will destroy performance. I have an old Sony Vaio and as soon as it gets hot it becomes incredibly slow. A desktop PC will always be the cheaper and more practical option for gaming.
