What is freezing? The server itself, the server’s console or the W:ET when you try to get into the server?

it s freezing while loading the map.for example i play supply than i change the map to nightclub,it shows the loading bar,but nothing happends and it stays like this

Great work on the lights & effects,
to bad to see you stop. Anyway, I think it’s pretty adictive, so I guess you’ll come back or start mapping for some other game (brink? ;))

I runned into the same problems with some maps, years ago… after I deleted a few hundrets maps from my (local!) etmain folder, the issue was gone.

You should also update your sig links pointing to Wolfmap :slight_smile: I think my computer can’t run Brink… But if it goes to sale on Steam… x) Since I know great mappers are on, it’s even more interesting :slight_smile:

Oke, to find the error, follow these steps:

  • delete or cut all the current .pk3 files out of your server. (Except for pak0,pak1,etc ofc)
  • then try if the server runs the map
  • boot the server without punkbuster
  • test if the server runs the map
  • boot the server without the mod
  • test if the server runs the map

I’m just saying you have to try to find the problem in stead of just waiting for a genious answere of us:)

I’m part of the ET Xreal project and I would like to know if you would (and can) provide the source to the project under CC-BY-SA. I would be really eager to try this light spectacle in the new engine.

If you don’t want to republish your map together with the project, you might still be thrilled to look at the project and it’s visual power.

I promise I’ll publish the source of my map under CC-BY-SA. But first I’ll need to put the source together. You will see a new thread by me when it’s ready.:slight_smile:

We have a problem with this map : if you join the server during the map, ther is no music playing. You need to vote MAP RESTART to have the music sound.

Can you please confirm it ?
Is there a workaround (another pk3 should fix it, or another map script ?)

PS: you can test the problem on jaymod here : DIABOLIK XPSAVE FOREVER (if you VOTE it, you will have sound, but further connecting players : no sound)

I’m aware of the problem. Altho, I’m to lazy to split the sound up into multiple files. That (I guess) would fix the problem. The problem is as follow:
You join --> Music starts --> You hear music.
Music starts --> You join --> You hear nothing.

If you know a little bit about mapping, I recommend that you split the file and modify the script by yourself.

hey i know nothing of making maps, and i think this map is freakin awesmone, if anyone wants to add objectives let me know cos i have a few ideas that might make it a very fun map. as it stands i cannot put this on a server cos my bandwidth just doesn’t cope but the map is awesome and has huge possibilities
