Make the game tougher!

You know you are wasting keystrokes… The devs clearly are not interested.
I mean… posting on these forums is pretty much just chit-chat among ourselves. I doubt most of what we discuss goes anywhere near the devs.

Wrong. Asking to fix unnecessary nerfs doesnt go to the devs. But if one person asks for a nerf, no matter how much negative feedback they get and no matter how stupid the nerf is, that will go to them instantly. And they even add it into the game! how nice of them to listen to the community, right? nervous laugh

Yea because rushing up point blank to someone is surely good gameplay isnt it?
i detect a distinct lack of headshot by the Kira in that gif. trust me, running up to someone while they can see you, horrible idea.
its better if:

  1. they’re isolated
  2. you’re flanking them
otherwise forget about it, you’ll just get cut down by rifle fire and no mistake

Everyone addressed your other grievances, so I’ll address the portion quoted above.

From my perspective, usernames on both enemies and allies is a godsend, it helps to see and identify players better. A red arrow above the head is a bad idea, as someone like me and 10% of the male population who are colorblind will never see it. I cannot see the red hue you describe on enemies, but I can differentiate who they are since they are not blue like the team (I’d love a yellow or bright orange hue on the enemy). There is a reason MW2 is criticized by the colorblind community (they addressed that with subsequent games like MW3), and your suggestion highlights that point.

If SD implemented your proposal, and one such as myself were in a comp match, there would be a 4 v 5. Not because of rage-quitting, but myself getting booted due to excessive accidental team-killing and friendly fire since everyone would look the same. This brings back bad memories of my first CSGO comp match on Nuke, lots of friendly fire, you have no idea :P.

I agree on the jumpsniping but otherwise, meh.

This shit makes me fucking sick.
Shotguns are fine, the mercs that use them aren’t. Proxy and Aura are just too fast. Jumping poprock little cunts. It’s so cheap and brainless. Makes me want to fucking vomit.

I agree. You barely hit her with your gun. 2 full Stark spreads to the body kill an Aura. 1 burst to the head.

Good point. Thanks for pointing this out

Chill… They are fast because they have low health. If they were slowed, they would be an easy target. And if their health decreased they would be extremely hard to play. Also, it is very hard to be successful with a shotgun when you are running that fast. But i do think (if it hasnt already been implemented) that spread for guns should be wider, the faster the merc is. In the mean time, learn to counter them, not complain like a squeaker. Not like the people that ruin the community. I never played with you, @Mercy, but i have a feeling you are very skilled at this game. Sparks, Aura, and Proxy can be killed with one sticky with Fletcher, one or two body shots with a sniper and a quarter to half clip with any other weap. They are easy kills if you can aim, and i’m pretty sure you can aim well.

I agree with you, after reading @KnightDemon s post.

Oneshot bodyshots from shotguns on any merc is not ok, it just isnt. Ok if the majority of the pellets land on the head but not bodyshots.

(LifeupOmega) #32

This has been talked to death honestly, you’re right there. Best idea i’ve seen is allowing accurate sniping on your first jump, but if you do a second or third jump off a wall (this is to stop peak sniping in ridiculous areas like Trainyard first over the bridge wall) it becomes incredibly inaccurate. It’s pretty much the only good idea I’ve seen outside of making SRs function like the Scout in CS.

(Randomdeath) #33

@LifeupOmega That seems like a great idea. Thanks for pointing it out!

(Randomdeath) #34

@PurpleHippo Bro, that only works if you are a few feet away and you shoot. Also its not like you are gibbed when someone one hits you with a shotty. If you are 10 steps away from someone with a shotgun you have a chance to get away or shoot em back

(PurpleHippo) #35

Im not going to go deeper into this since i have a strong feeling we will never agree on this subject. I still think bodyshots with a shotgun should never be able to oneshot a merc no matter if its a 80 hp merc.

(_Sniff_) #36

I’ve been saying this for a while now. Fletcher isn’t overpowered everyone else is underpowered. It sounds funny but it’s true! Everything used to be so much more deadly. Why can’t it be like that again?

(Randomdeath) #37

Agreed. I think all of the mercs that were nerfed to hell after the steam release need to be buffed back to how they were 9 months ago

We probably wont. But every one has different opinions.
