There is nothing of a Quake Wars nature in this game.I would love a comment from the programming crew if there is any reason why that is.I would expect to make big maps with vechicles etc would be a drain on design/budget and hence why we get this micro style game.

I would like to see a volcano\Salvage style map as a addition to show some homage to QW maybe that would be a nice tip of the hat to the community.I cannot see it as the current maps are not in the same world or theme.

They started on this project before Brink got released so there’s still hope that before DB is released SD is already forming the first plans for a QW scale shooter.

With a new engine, it’s important to get the infantry combat right first. The current Objective Mode in DB is a great reference that helps us tell whether each iterative adjustment is beneficial or not (since it acts as a great bar).

Remember though, that ETQW took four years. We’be worked on DB for a year so far.

So is the class specialisation a concious gameplay deciscion or a placeholder for more modular content?
