Bump, eventually we may get a reply. Don’t let this thread fall from the first page until Splash Damage replies. Who’s with me?
Lobby System Petition (Sign if you want a lobby system)
Meh, Im fine without it, especially since it could be argued that you
A) Cant really do much in a lobby besides wait and talk ****.
B) What you can do can be done during the cut scenes
I think they just need better match making and public chat.

What about joining games quickly and easily with a group of friends?
I haven’t had much problems with that because Im usually in a party and the whole party gets invited and joins at the same time.
Thats not to say Id be disappointed if they did put in a lobby system, far from it, it would go a long way to quieting the complaints to say the least.

Exactly, it would especially appease the people who grew up on the Call of Duty series or Halo which refined matchmaking/party systems.
umm if you play competition there is a forced lobby now, you have to wait till there is 5 ppl on each side and for all of them to ready up
now in most gmae types you have to have a majority of players ready up
I am ignorant with respect to this argument as I don’t play either Xbox or PS3
Is it not possible to create a friend only game, invite people then use the ingame ready up feature once everyone has joined?

no. you have to make a party on Xbox which limits to 8. Then your highest lvl player needs to join a freeplay room. then he must invite party. other than that, you just join a match and your friends can join you when they want. I think once Clan support is activated, there will be Clan Lobby perhaps.
the game has a lobby system for consoles when the game type was changed. the game fills up andn doesnt start till a majority of people ready up. sounds like a lobby to me. its actually alot like the GTA 4 lobby system if you think about it.
^This. It might not be the lobby everyone was hoping for or envisioning, but it’s what we got. Maybe there will be further adjustment and modification to the system in the future.
There is not a lobby for public freeplay for STANDARD matchmaking; even still the lobby system (if you want to call it that) is vaguely similar to GTA 4 since even GTA 4 had a private lobby where you could take your time and invite your friends. Brink on the other hand has warm-up rooms where anyone can join and if it fills up to quickly then your friends can not get in the game.
Like CoD lobbies? Where everyone on both sides talk crap at each other and shows what cretins they are? I’d vote no to that. Besides that someone can basically make a game “lobby” by setting the caps to only start the match when a desired amount of people join.
I think people are mistaking match making for lobbies.

Nope, we know what lobbies are, the game just feels like it is almost fighting against what it stands for; that being teamwork and communication. It’s strange but it almost feels like it isolates the players from each other, making the game ,overall, less enjoyable.
